if luffy has to die (and there’s a big chance to see that in the end of one piece) it would be natural death, cause his lifespan continually reduces by the gear second

I think that WhiteBeard’s gonna die and then Ace is gonna take over as the new captain of the WB pirates or the Spade Pirates. And in the end Luffy and Ace as well as any other candidate 4 Pirate King will duke it out for the title.

I think shanks is going to tell him to keep the hat. Hes called “strawhat”, “Strawhat Luffy” and the Strawhats. If they take the hat away the name would be kinda lame.

Luffy ’s Haoshoku Haki power “Kings Disposition” … is great. I think he has the power to defeat Smoker and the Admirals now. I dont see any others really having that type of Haki except the Four Yonkou’s like Whitebeard.
I dont think all of the Shichibukai doesnt really have that level of haki – even if they are strong-
Boa Hancock – Has Haoshoku haki power
Mihawk – Dont think so even though his haki is very strong similar to Sentomaru.
Crocodile – Hell no – Relies on his DF power too much
DonFlamingo – his powers are unknown but if he had Haoshoku haki … I dont see him not being Pirate King with his ability.
Kuma – Hell no! Gave up his life to be a cyborg. Idiot!
Jimbei – Dont think so! but has very strong Haki.
Moria – The way he fought at Thriller Bark with a weaker Luffy was ridiculous. Doesnt have Haoshoku for sure…

U failed face first. I doubt any of the shichibukai other than Boa hav Haoshoku. I highly doubt that BB has it as it would kinda undermine his DF. Sengoku and Garp may hav it but I doubt that any of the Admirals or Yonkou hav it. As far as we know, Rayliegh doesn’t even hav it, and he’s a haki master. Haoshoku Haki is something U must B born with and is very rare, however, Haki itself is something that every1(human) can use.

if all of those ppl have haoshoku then it wouldn’t make sense, hoashoku will be some mere power like the other ones, like simple haki for example.
but no, haoshoku is haki amongst haki, haki users aren’t that many if you compare it to the number of pirates/marine characters we seen till now, and haoshoku users (or gifted if you want) are few within haki users, so yes it’s great, too great.
and for the characters :
the only confirmesd ones are hancock and luffy (and they didn’t mastered it yet)
the ones who might be haoshoku users are Shanks and Rayleigh.

mihawk: mihawk is a swordsman, the greatest one, on a databook it was stated that he hasn’t any DF fruit and he’s power comes from brute strength like zoro but anything was said about haki (cause it was too soon, first or second databook i think) but i think hell no he uses haki, why ? cause if you remember mihawk couldn’t cut buggy, if he was a haki user a single slash and bye bye buggy (haki cancel DF) so for me mihawk : no (and that’s better, it makes him more powerful)
then BB : BB is an old timer (20 yr in WB ship oO) knows well about haki and stuff like that, has monstruous power which made shanks cautious about it, and a unique logia among the logia wich CANCELS DF powers, and he seem to be proud about it, so i would say he don’t possesses haki cause he’s too scary like that :P
and yet you know we don’t have any precise definition of haki, but i think there are different types of haki (or different ways to use it) : one which strengthen the attacks, one which cancel DF, one as a shield, maybe one for speed…etc
so for BB maybe he has haki but not the one which cancels DF cause then his logia will have no meaning and will loose what makes him unique.
now for what you said firt about smoker and the admirals, luffy don’t now how to use his haki, he just got bursts, but if we suppose he knows now how to cancel DF, yes he could beat smoker (gear 2nd + haki = nice fight) but no ! hell no he’ll beat admirals cause they’re on a different level of speed, strength and stamina, the best example is when luffy is called “slow” by kizaru in gear 2nd
so till know he can’t beat’em, even if he beats smoker, it’ll not be this easy cause the smokey guy is getting stronger too.

when shanks was talking about BB, it was more than BB’s brute strength (without DF or anything else) and like i said before, BB was in WB’s ship for 20 years now, he’s an old timer, he knows well about haki, so if he had that kind of power he must’ve discovered it years ago, even if he can’t do it all by himself, someone in WB’s crew would’ve noticed it somehow, but no, no sign of dormant power as you say.

1. I agree with Southa that luffy still would not be able to beat an admiral. His training and experience with the use of haki and his haoshoku is very limited. At most (like now) he would have spurts of brillance followed by getting beat down.
2. @southa. I dont think shanks was ever referred to as Strawhat. The strawhat he carried seemed to be a trademark(kinda like his scar above his eye) and recognized by everyone but i guess his hair stood out more.
3. Maybe Haki (especially haoshoku) puts a strain on the other person. Haoshoku makes ppl with a weak will pass out in a wide distance. If that can be focused on an attack or multiply attacks maybe it will wear down the other person quicker.
4. I remember chopper saying that gear 2nd/3rd puts a strain on his body but i dont remember him saying that it shortens his life. What i am sure of is that all of iva’s hormorne enhancements do not shorten life. In fact only the first one that saved Luffy’s life from McGellans poison shortens life.

I didn’t notice that untill now, i guess that works. But even though he tries to save his stamina by short gear 2nds, his stamina will still decrease during the fight. So the most he can do is lower the amount of his lifespan that he loses.
Hopefully if Hancock joins the crew she can teach Luffy and everyone else some ATT & DEF haki techniques, in doing so Luffy won’t really on his gears unless necessary.
