するとバラガンの上空に 柱で出来た巨大な笠のようなものが出現した

するとバラガンは 前方を巨大な壁
左右を〝虎咬の城門〟と〝亀鎧の城門〟
上空を〝鳳翼の城門〟に囲まれた形で ハッチの箱状の結界に閉じ込められた

こんなもので儂を封じたつもりか!!」

Hacchi, who was silently listening to Barragan until now, suddenly starts clapping his hands
Every time Hacchi claps his hands there’s a plank-like thing appearing, then Hacchi makes a move with his hands and these planks start line up neatly and form a giant wall-barrier isolating Barragan from Hacchi&Co.

In an instance, Barragan is traped with this barrier. Hacchi claps his hands together and starts chanting.
Hacchi: Brethren-in-arms withdrawing for the distance of 8 sun and standing still; blue bolt (like a bolt on door), white bolt, black bolt, red bolt; sinking into the ocean together seeking redemption
Barragan: Incantation? The spell that is cast skipping incantation is strengthened if the incantation is added. A smart thing to do… But you won’t make it in time!
Hacchi stops his chanting and at the same time he opens his hands that were previously joint. And
Hacchi: The Gate of Dragon Tail

Hacchi makes a move with his hands again, and the shape of the huge wall-barrier changes to something resembling a home plate [TN: from baseball]. He excitedly calls out to Soifon
Hacchi: Soifon-san! Help me please! We need the power of your bankai!

Hearing Hacchi’s words Soifon understands that ‘now is not the time’, but still doesn’t listen. Hacchi seeing her reluctance, says
Hacchi: I get it… Let’s make a deal then.
At this time, not seeing any response since Hacchi formed the wall-barrier with his ‘The Gate of Dragon Tail’, Barragan says ready to commence his next attack

Now there’s a huge wall before Barragan, on his left and right there’re Tiger Fang and Turtle Shell Gates and Phoenix Wing Gate from above, and now he’s completely surrounded as Hacchi closes his barrier.
Barragan: Bwahahaha! How funny, how funny! You’re planning to seal me with just that?
Hacchi: This is not a barrier to seal you.
Barragan: What?

They were talkin about simple Menoses at that time. Not arrancars. Hitsu was explaining the 3 subclasses of Menos to Ichigo.
Hitsu: “Menos Grande are the lowest of menoses…” “…they what you fought with…” “…peons…” “…an ordinary captain shouldn’t have problem defeating them”
Hitsu: “The second class is Adjuchas, they are stronger, smaller, and smarter, they rule over countless menoses”
Hitsu: “and the last one is the Vastro Lorde, there are very few of them existing, they are entirely-human like and they are said to exist only deep in Hueco Mundo. To be correct, a Vastro Lorde’s combat capacities are even greater than of a Captain’s”
That’s how the conversation went. They weren’t talkin about Arrancars, but simple menoses.
Hitsu didn’t specify that Aizen could destroy SS with 10 VL hollow or 10 VL arrancar, but when he said that a VL is stronger than a Captain, he was talking about simple VL hollows.
In other words, yes. Arrancarized VLs should technically be even stronger than that level.
When Hitsuguya said that if Aizen manages to het 10 VL then were doomed, he meant it just as much as Yorouchi did when she told Ichigo that if encounters a captain in SS then he is a goner. But Ichigo managed to defeat 2 captains there. So obviously in Bleach, anything can happen if the characters try hard enough.
Not really cuz Ichigo fought 2captains in SS and technically they both beat him. Kenpachi and Byakuya really did win those fights. A captain trains with thier Bankai for about 10 years and Ichigo had just got his so his bankai wasn’t on their lvl yet. Nither is Renji’s or Ikkaku’s but with Ichigo’s mask he’s definately captain lvl. And in his 2nd hollow transformation he is probably far beyond their lvl. Main point is Ichigo isn’t done with his bankai and still has a long way 2go.

Wrong. Kenpachi fought to a draw with pre-bankai Ichigo, and although Byakuya and Ichigo seemingly fought to a draw as well, Ichigo shattered Byakuya’s resolve to fight, and Byakuya told Ichigo that the fight was over, with Ichigo the winner. So in fact, Ichigo didn’t lose either of his Captain battles in the SS arc.
Wrong, Kenpachi himself decided 2call it a tie as Ichigo gave Kenpachi more fun than he had had in quite some time. But if Kenpachi wanted he could’ve killed Ichigo. And same with Byakuya but as U stated, Byakuya lost his will 2fight and thus he declared Ichigo the winner. Had either captain the will 2finish the battle and kill Ichigo they would hav easily won. But due 2thier decisions Ichigo is alive and didn’t hav 2suffer a loss at their hands.

In any case, what I meant was that in the past chapters people who seem weaker than their opponents have ended up equalling or defeating them. So there it is not impossible to think that a captain level shinigami would not be able to equal a VL arrancar (just because Hitsuguya said so), if he is motivated hard enough, maybe trying to save someone etc.
I wonder if that forbidden kido that halts time would work against barragan. Hachi should give him a good run for his money.

Yeah, that might probably be like the only chance of victory against Barragan, since Barragan’s power SLOWS time, and HAchi’s strength involes STOPPING time, so maybe if you STOP time from SLOWWING, then all/most of Barragan’s techniques become completely futile…
Barragan’s ability speeds up time rather than slowing it. You cant make someone age by slowing time.

Vasto Lorde arrancar cannot be that much stronger than captains as Wonderweiss was easily beaten by Mashiro who used to be just a vice-captain.
Well we hav no proof that Mashiro has really defeated WW. After all WW didn’t even use his ressurrection. And we also hav no proof that WW is a Vasto Lorde.

Even before he was made an arrancar, his silhouette was human-like in shape as well as size so he could be a vasto lorde. Also he is clearly among the strongest, impaling Ukitake when Stark had to release. I doubt Tite Kubo would have mentioned vasto lorde category if no vasto lorde class hollows are actually shown in the manga. As for Mashiro, she didnt have to release her zankupto either.
I don’t think we know much about WW because all he did was get kicked in the face. At the same time though, Mashiro is just using her Vaizard powers which most of the Vaizards seem to prefer. Wonder how much stronger she is than she was before she became a Vaizard.
Well, she can hold her Vizard form the longest so it would stand 2reason that she might B one of the strongest.

First of all, Wonderweiss isn’t defeated. There is no way that he would get beat in one shot before releasing, and especially not to an unreleased opponent. It’s Kubo’s style to make us think that a person is defeated by some cheap shot, only to have them get right back up and continue fighting for multiple chapters, and Wonderweiss wont be an acception to that IMO. Secondly, Mashiro was a VC 100 years ago, it stands to reason that in that time she (and the rest of the visoreds) have been training extensively. In fact, I’d say it’s fairly certain that all of the visoreds are at least at captain level, and that most if not all of them have bankai at this point. They’ve had nothing to do but train for the last 100 years, it would make no sense for them not to have gotten much stronger in the last 100 years. Also, we have no reason to think that the amount of time you can hold your hollow form has anything to do with your inherent strength, if anything it would be the reverse, the fact that Mashiro could hold her hollow form for so long from the outset probably means that her inner hollow is less powerful than some of the others (which is why she can keep it in check for so long).
I agree with you CorpusDei. I do have to say though there is one thing that a lot of people have not thought about. Remember, WW was actually created AFTER the espada. There is no telling how strong he really is. Honestly i think that his release will give him added intelligence along with more power and speed. I wouldn’t be shocked to see WW have 2 releases and probably pawn 2 or 3 of the vizards at the same time.

All of them are arrancars, but arrancars made from Vasto Lorde. I think WW is VL. But I am more interested in Yami… He is something stronger than VL :D Cuz he doesnt have the shapes of human and still is the strogest… I wonder what is he.
Sad to say this Deangelo, but Vantage is right. All Arrancar were at one point hollows, whether they were adjucas or vasto lorde or even everyday hollows. Not sure how it would work on a gillian, or if it would at all, but one made from a VL would be incredibly power.
Also, just to add on Vantage, you have to remember that several of the Vaizards aren’t just at captain level, but WERE in fact captains (Shinji, Rojuro, Love, Kensei) who have gotten even more powerful. By that you can imply that they all know their bankai but have grown very used to relying on their hollow powers.

I think in hueco mundo everyone is going to lose to yammy except unohana who should be really strong
because shes one of the oldest captains.
The vaizards will eventually beat the espada but i dont think shinji would beat aizen. He has to go through ichimaru and he wouldnt stand a chance against aizens powers or even his bankai.
WW vs Mashiro would be good.Theyre both really strong ( i think mashiro is the strongest with her vaizard powers because she can control it the best.
If Shinji wouldn’t beat Aizen who will? It would suck if Ichigo has to fight him just like what he said while he was fighting Grimmjow. Aizen betrayed a lot of former comrades way even before Ichigo’s birth! (Toushiro, Shinji, Urahara, etc.)

I think that the strongest shinigami are those from Division Zero (royal guard). We don’t know the strenght of Ichigo’s father (captain haori).
tessai will be the one to defeat barragan. after all, he was hacchi’s captain and should know way more kido techniques than him.
WW is probably a VL who hasnt fully awakened. it would explain certain things he can do in his childlike state. once he starts speaking properly its over.

I don’t think so. Shinji was also a captain 100 years ago. When Isshin slain the hollow who killed his wife, Shinji couldn’t detect who’s reiatsu it was with Urahara and others.
I don’t think that Isshin was 10th division captain, because no one ever heard Kurosaki name and that’s funny because we know that Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake and Retsu Unohana and Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai were captains from over 200 years.

Maybe Isshin used to be a part of the Royal Guard and thats why he has a special haori. It could explain why very few know about him. The royal guard certainly keeps it affairs secret from 13 squads.

I don’t like Soi Fon’s bankai. That thing could be strong, but slow for sure. Espadas who excel at sonido can easily laugh and kick her ass. I hope in the anime, they’ll show her bankai in rather med-size weapon rather than twice her height.

In the end, it’s gonna come down to Ichigo saving all their butts because you can’t have the main villain be defeated by anyone OTHER than the main hero. Sure, all these guys will put up good fights, but it’ll be Ichigo fighting Aizen in his super hollow form. It’s pretty interesting to see why none of the vizard have gone after Gin or Tosen. Supposedly they’re captain level and should be pretty easy to take out. Kenpachi disabled Tosen without much difficulty and Tosen was going all out. I have a feeling Yammy is pretty weak. The whole zero espada thing seems too farfetched. If that really was the case, Aizen would have brought him into Karakura Town to fight. It seems like a bluff to me and he’ll probably be beaten by Byakuya or Kenpachi. We all know Byakuya loves to save Rukia out of nowhere. This is a very interesting arc and it remains to be seen if Ichigo’s dad or Ishida’s dad will pop up and help.
Where the hell is Urahara, Yoruichi, and Nanao? Kyoraku and Ukitake need to start fighting seriously. They play around too much.

I concur that Kyoraku and Ukitake should start fighting seriously, but with whom? Vizards interfered and stole their opponents.
There is no reason for Urahara and Yoruichi to get involve yet, Captain Commander isn’t even fighting yet. Besides if they all join, what is left for Bleach? KT couldn’t possibly reveal everything in Aizen arc or else that would be the end of Bleach.
lol I always expected it to end with Aizen. If Bleach goes on, it’ll be like Naruto and be trying to fight for the manga with the most chapters. But you’re probably right. It shouldn’t all be revealed yet. Hell, we still have no idea who the Spirit king is and how he plays into this whole thing. I wonder where the Zero Divison/Royal Guard are. Supposedly this whole Aizen invasion should be the biggest catastrophe that faces Soul Society yet all this fighting is left to the Gotei 13. Pretty strange. I thought the King would be worrying about saving his own butt and send his best men out. Guess not =/
