i do feel like jimbei has the best chance of becoming luffys next crew member since he fits in with their next destination, would really like to see what happens with the whitebeard pirates not sure if they are going to break up or start their own crew maybe join the restinace against the world government, or join other crews, i hope they dont fade away from the manga they are really cool characters.
quick quetion but does zoro only have 2 legendary swords now or are all of his swords legendary, i know that the white katana is legendary and so is the blade he got from the samurai but what about the other one that he uses?

anyways marco mentioned teachies’s makeup (translators used the word body but it should have translated into makeup.) as to being the key to his dual ability possessing attribute. this most likely has to do with his connection to the D.
this is only a thought and could be completely wrong. but perhaps it goes something like this…
we know haki can repel fruit abilities to some extent (it’s unclear what are the parameters of the power itself.) so maybe he can use that ability introversively within his own body so if he absorbs the fruit in hybrid mode (half elemental half human) then uses haki to keep the logia on one side and create a barrier from the other side which has the paramecia then they won’t interact therefore avoiding self destruction.
about taking mera mera ability that would be stupid, his battle tactics consist of opposing fruit abilities. now there aren’t many fruits left that can grant the ability of flight. so now he can nullify your ability from a long distance (quake till you fall in the water not something fire can do easily) or short distance.
jimbei should be the strawhats next member i mean what is that fat bastard going to do now? eat? and they need someone who is large yet might still be able to fit in thousand sunny

Hmmm, as I expected, there was some explanation, or better, note that Blackbeard ha something unique that makes him able to use 2 fruits. I am sure thats the limit of course. I dont think thats related to D. though, not everything in this series revolve around Haki and the Will of D. , probably something on his body, we will probably get some additional information in the later chapters.
& I aint sure about Jimbei joining, he probably will help the Strawhats reach Fishmen island but I dont think he will stay with the crew for the rest of their journey.

maybe jimbei will accompany SH to the fishmen island, then jimbei will encounter a big problem there and SH will help jimbei to save the island.. then he will join the crew.. ^_^
