It could be that none of the espada are vasto lorde. Espadas are made to search for the Vasto lorde but it seems that Aizen failed to find a single Vasto lorde so instead Aizen sets up everything to create a vasto lorde using ichigo.
That right! Hollow Ichigo is a vasto lorde!!
Come to think of it..Hollow ichigo beat the shit out of Ulquiorra which is a top ranking espada and put down ichigo (in his bankai and hollow mask).
