卍解と同時に刀で周りを薙ぎ払うギン。見開きつかってビル群が一刀両断。
刀は勢いそのままに一護へと向かう、が後ずさりながらも刀で受け止める一護。
一護「・・・何驚いてんだよ 同じ卍解が卍解で止められねえワケねえだろ」
そういうとギンの刀をはじきながら月牙を放つ一護、ギンまた一瞬開眼、月牙直撃。
巻き起こる煙のなかギン、
ギン「・・・なんや・・・やっぱり気味の悪い子や」
額の右から頬にかけて血を垂らすギンで次週

When I cut off Jidanbou’s arm, you were… ah, really pissed off… “What’ an amusing child,” I remember thinking
Ichigo:…. I don’t remember.
Gin: You’re lyin. Are ya tryin’ to rile me up?
Ichigo: That’s not it. It’s not that I don’t remember that sword of yours. It’s what you were thinking inside, that I don’t remember.
When I face an opponent, I usually understand a little what’s in their heart. Not that I can read their minds but, it’s that, how they ready their sword or something
Whether they approve of me or look down on me, or whatever they want to make me understand
And in the middle, when I get desperate, that’s usually when I start to notice how or what makes my enemy that strong, and usually a big part of it is their heart.
Gin: Oh my, how poetic.
Ichigo: Shut up. Back then, you had nothing. That time that you and I fought, I couldn’t see a damned thing and up to now I don’t know anything.
Gin: … And I thought you were just an amusing kid but, you’re an irritating child after all.
Gin says this while threatening him. Well, that’s how Ichigo felt while thinking to himself.
Ichigo: …. You’re not telling me anything.
Gin: Aizen-taichou has an interest in you – it was that kind of mood. D’you know how far my god’s spear can extend?
Ichigo: I don’t know.
Gin: A hundred swords. From the saya it’s approximately a hundred sword lengths.
Ichigo: I didn’t ask you.
Gin: Now, how far do you think it can go when I’m in bankai?

At the same time he releases, he swings the sword all around him. At the opposite page, all the buildings around him are instantly bisected.
Then he faces Ichigo with the sword filling up with energy, who took a step back while blocking the sword.
Ichigo: ….. what kind of power was that. You can just stop a bankai with just another bankai, you know.
While repelling Gin’s sword, Ichigo releases a Getsuga, Gin again releases in an instant, but Getsuga scores a direct hit.
Gin rises up from the smoke,
Gin: ….. why…. Just like I said, yer really an irritating child.
From his right cheek, Gin starts bleeding. Then it’s off to next week.
Trivia: Gin eyes were also open on the cover of Volume 20, showing that they are blue in the manga, as opposed to the anime’s red. Gin also opened his eyes in a cut scene in Bleach: Dark Souls. In the cut scene, his eyes were golden yellow.
kubo just don’tell me gin will extend that 13km blade to completely surround the area making hard for ichigo to move

Kubo has given us 2 reasons for Kisuke’s exile. 1st – the imperfect gigais he invented way back which destroyed shinigami powers (Isshin) and made their souls human causing them to be cast out and lose contact with soul society. I believe Aizen tempered with and was behind this aswel as the 2nd – framing him for the hollowfication of the captains and carrying out forbidden research “taboo” lol(pendulumn arc.) – it’s all in the manga. just piece the facts together.
“committing crimes against researching and invoking forbidden phenomenon” and “deceiving and inflicting grievous injury to fellow Shinigami” are the reasons of the office of central 46 as to why they want urahara to be turned to human and exiled to the human world.
as was shown in the turn back the pendulum arc, the first reason involves horoka research and the second is turning shinigamis into vizards, as he was framed by aizen.
yuup. but remember, the chapter, I believe during the SS arc – it was explained about the gigai incident. its also the same type of gigai he gave to rukia when the story began. also when isshin was first revealed as a shinigami, kisuke questioned him about the return of hid powers after the incident.

Wat makes u think thats all his bankai can do if u look at the end he still has a smile on his face so u kno theres more to it then stretching 13 km. I mean come on u really think aizens right hand is only capable of jus that now ur underestimating kubo. WATCH wat happens n a chapter or 2 ichigo will be n deep trouble if they dnt switch to hollow world. Okay for everyone complaining about Gin’s bankai. Well what did you expect? I mean look at his shikai his sword just extended longer (not saying it isn’t well thought up just saying how it is) his bankai couldn’t have been much difference, and to be honest I like it. Kubo did a good job of displaying it. Also to those saying Ichigo can’t be stronger than Gin, Ichigo’s bankai gives him speed and power. Gin’s gives him length, speed, and power and for a sword that long you need to figure it would take a while to swing/bring it back
I agree with you I also like his Bankai it fits him just perfectly but people just expect way too much from Bleach
Ya they need to let the story play out and be patient, I’ll admit I’ve been annoyed that it was going slow but it’s necessary to go through all the details

I think his bankai is pretty cool, i mean come on you had to expect something like that. At least now he has more control over it, his shikai looked more like a 1 shot while he can move this one around a lot more, like a whip. And fiiiiiinaaally ichigo doesnt use hollow stuff. I liked him when Bankai was his best move and now its Bankai vs Bankai, the way it should be. Like Byakuya vs Ichigo, its actually a good fight now i hope it continues at least one more chapter with only Bankais.

I don’t know why everyone assumed Gin would be so strong Kubo had him ranked as one of the weaker captains.
well, it’s most likely because he was tagged a genius, killed a third seat when he just entered a squad, and was handpicked by the, so far, main antagonist.

im not all together sure that Gins bankai is finished, not to mention to be a prodigy we can say he has a fair share of rei and being as old as he is he has to have somethin else he can do with it. i liked the chapter personally Ichigo has finally got there, the line about Gin being surprised about a Bankai stopping a Bankai was great. Kubo displayed that hes finally getting the grip of this Shinigami thing. Sadly still (like Naruto) he will have the dumb dumb slip ups, but maybe just maybe hes growing as a Shinigami.
oh and does anyone else think Isshin will get cut down and Ichigo will go crazy??
Hey man you knw what, yeh that wud totally Cool, if Isshin get killed in the eyes of Ichigo, like ichigo seeing Isshin getting stabbed by Aizen and then Isshin falls all the way down to the ground like a Cold turkey! and then Ichigo Gets Angry just like Goku in the End And then go SS4 (Hollow ichigo 4) if that wud happen man, Bleach wud be respected and will be admired as DBZ/GT! knw wht more fans, who knws millions of DB fan might turn to Bleach!!!!! hahah
Wow, that’s actually a pretty decent burn by Ichigo: he basically told Gin that his heart and soul were empty.
If Gin is toast, I really, truly hope that Matsumoto gets into this somehow. It’s not impossible, Unohana’s probably grown her some new organs by now, while we weren’t looking. Kubo set up a great deal of emotional tension between Gin and Matsumoto, and it would be a tremendous disservice to us if there was no closure.
listen ichigo has at least double the strength of a soul reaper captain, he has incredible speed, a hollow mask, and a inner hollow if all else fails. Gin was a child prodigy, killed a third seat when he was a child, toyed with hitsugaya, puts fear into rukia and others he meet,the only one who gives us insight on wat aizen is thinking, and the right hand man of the baddest mofo in the world everybody seriously underestimating him if they think hes going to die that easily if he does which i think he doesnt. As we all know bout bankai’s they have many abilities hisugaya, byakuya, mayuri are just a few so hes not out of tricks yet this is how the battle is going to go ichigo and gin fights ichigo feels gin powers and mask up and pressures gin. He then hit him with a mega getsuga which everybody thinks is goin to kill gin. Next chapter gin is standing in the middle of it unharmed with his eyes open and smile gone and open a super sized can of whoop ass on ichigo until mr hat and clogs saves him

he released it and nothing seemed to happen. i mean, no massive explosion, no change in form, no costume change, nothing.
