Trivia; Fullbring (完現術(フルブリング), Kangen Jutsu; lit. “Full Manifest(ation) Art”) is a technique utilized by the Humans in the group Xcution. Fullbring is a special ability which certain Humans are born with, in which they can manipulate the “soul” of matter for a variety of effects

It’s now obvious that Bleach jumped the shark after Byakuya vs. Ichigo.

I officially declare Bleach dead as a Shinigami.

      • SAM KNIGHT - February 4, 2011 at 2:49 am #

Bleach maybe dead to you but not to us.And I’m honest enough to admit that bleach is not perfect but I’m not going to judge the whole manga based on one chapter.

      • hollowfly - February 4, 2011 at 5:10 am #

Lets finish the whole series first before we say that its dead. shall we?

  2. NiggUH - February 3, 2011 at 10:16 am #

i thikn ichigo has to defeat every1s fullbring to take all their powers. last one is ginjou

    • hollowfly - February 4, 2011 at 5:12 am #

Coincidentally, i was about to post the same. I believe ichigo is to defeat each xcution one after the other, till he gets all their powers and his shinigami powers

      • jj - February 7, 2011 at 12:13 am #

to me the same but not defeat them defeat their fullbringers
and i say chads last since he has more that just fullbring
im guessing his hollow power is an effect of his fullbringer being used on the hollows power that was left in him

  3. Im Old Gregg - February 3, 2011 at 11:19 am #

Is it me or did this little piggy cry “Come with me if you want to live!”? Hahahahaha, movie references

So all i learn from this chapter was an extension of more details of explanation regarding riruka’s power and the probably all the full bringers

1)Riruka can insert anything which she gave permission inside the things she “love” whether its a dollhouse or a stuff toy and can pull it out at her will like ichigo and that old yakuza she found

2)Fullbring powers can only be use to manipulate “souls” of matter that the user has attachment, cling or fond of it and it could be old or new things/matters as long as you have some sort of “liking” to it(like riruka mentioned she can fight for new things she love and spend her life collecting them)

3)People saying that chad’s coin is the source of his power since before thus manifested to his arms(like what his grandfather said his arms are meant to protect) is now almost 100% sure, unless chad changes it to something else new that he finds an attachment too or being fond of it

4)Oh yeah i almost forgot that ichigo’s badge that was in his possession for a while now is his way to use fullbring like some post insists

5)Judging by chad’s conversation with riruka about ichigo being inside the doll house and “making him do that already” implies that chad probably already has undergone this training and has improve on his skills

6)And about inoue and his hairpin(after all its maybe the most precious thing she received), its still indefinite but i think the hogyouku granted inoue and chad their deepest desires and gave them the power of the fullbringers by

    -by its own will?
-using ichigo’s oozing reiatsu as a catalyst(like what urahara and aizen theorized)?
-or just simply awakened their latent powers that were pass down to them(if confirmed later) by their mothers who was attacked by a hollow before they were even born(again if confirmed later)

I still feel that the hogyouku gave them the fullbring abilities because most of the fullbringers are born with those powers as they said and chad and inoue didn’t have it at an early age, well i’ll just have to wait for it in the upcoming chapters

    • SAM KNIGHT - February 3, 2011 at 4:01 pm #

This chapter was ok it really explained more about fullbring. And about the hogyoku granting the their powers that was just a theory by aizen so it might not be true.I still believe that Chad got his powers the same way Xcution did but that won’t be confirmed till later maybe. And who knows about Orihime since her powers are unique.

      • Hm... - February 3, 2011 at 5:02 pm #

I dont think so, cuz they said that they were born with fullbring powers…

    • hollowfly - February 4, 2011 at 5:14 am #

Isn’t orihime’s hairpins given to her by her brother? correct me if im wrong cause im sure i am

      • SAM KNIGHT - February 4, 2011 at 10:43 am #

Yes they were that’s why they are so valuable to her.

      • animefan - February 5, 2011 at 10:20 am #

idk how they could bring back ichigo’s power… is it just because he was the main character?? lol… and how come he didn’t know how to use “fullbring” when he was born, like the other “fullbring” users?

      • J.J. - February 5, 2011 at 2:24 pm #

Basically we don’t know how they’d bring it back, just theories and theories until it will be revealed, and about him not using fullbring before, it might be because he relied to much on his shinigami powers and remember that a fullbring power came from hollows, ichigo has used his hollow powers several time, though its nothing like the fullbring powers of the members of Xcution, i’ll just wait and see for further info as to why ichigo has the abilitiy to use fullbring and why he didn’t use it before or he did without knowing it

  7. Im Old Gregg - February 3, 2011 at 1:15 pm #

Hahahahaha, I didnt read the Eng. translation, did that bartender guy give Mr.Piggy some juice :s, haa Pigs on Roids!

    • JBL41 - February 3, 2011 at 2:32 pm #

I don’t know its just that chick place some 15 minute “timer” on the yakuza stuffed toy and activated some “mad beast mode” because ichigo didn’t use his fullbring within 15 minutes, that is the only thing i can say to it that makes sense:)

  8. BrutalSpiritForce - February 3, 2011 at 4:03 pm #

  10. flyingpig - February 3, 2011 at 7:57 pm #

OMG!!!! ichigo actually said that he has to come up with some strategy!!!! best moment of the chapter and the real innovations here (tho his battle with gin could also count, but then again he got stomped over by gin, so naaah…)

i am still getting real nasty vibes from ginjou… and i think we are past the point where even shinji looked suspicious back then. i don’t know what do you guys think? for me when all of the vizards were introduced and esp hiyori and we saw her interaction with shinji i was convinced that these guys are good. but right now i don’t have this feeling with ginjou; i don’t think that riruka is bitchslapping him the same way as hiyori did with shinji (i actually think that this was hiyori’s way of showing affection, your complaints to shinji thank you very much…)

i actually think that riruka is showing genuine distrust to ginjou and considering her character i find it very much possible that she sees sth in him that is to say the least ‘suspicious’ or wrong in some ways. this other woman jackie (?) i don’t know she seems the type that could keep secrets and have a double agenda much more than riruka and the battler still reminds me of tessai, fairly neutral. i wonder how chad got into this???

    • flyingpig - February 3, 2011 at 7:59 pm #

ok, i meant butler… i have no idea how i mispelled that bad; probably was thinking sth about battle..???

      • J.J. - February 3, 2011 at 8:11 pm #

He is probably thinking about that “Mad Beast Mode” that riruka place on that stuff animal with a yakuza guy in it, i don’t know if that thing is going to change from a stuff toy to a real monster but it looks like the yakuza guy inside it does not want to undergo that process as he was begging not to

    • J.J. - February 3, 2011 at 8:08 pm #

Chad might be feeling lonely since his bff ichigo has no longer powers like him, so they finding chad and having the same power give him a belongingness, like what he felt in hueco mundo

    • J.J. - February 3, 2011 at 8:27 pm #

There are a ton of guys who doesn’t trust ginjou, well i don’t blame you coz he really looks and acts suspicious, riruka seems to be a self centered happy go lucky gal who only knows to praise herself, and i agree with you about the butler being like tessai, jackie’s words shows she’s a bit of a soft side although she looks intimidating like a WWE wrestler lady, the little dude sounds like a smart ass brat and chad is umm chad as always and

About ichigo I think he is kinda smart, he is one of the top of his class and he tends to learn more of his opponents moves and technique and adapt to it and is very observant in deduction like what he did with Gin’s zanpaktou and also he deduce again the explanation of riruka about how to use fullbring by noticing about his badge before or at the same time chad did, under 15 minutes. The only thing i don’t like about him is his low esteem in situations where he think he can’t beat a strong enemy or can’t get out of a situation that he thinks has no hope, and easily gets depress a lot and needs to get motivation from others to waken be up, and most of the time regrets killing his opponents like what he did to Kariya(bount) and ulquiorra, unlike his hollow side he has no brutal fighting instinct and doesn’t care about anything on how strong the enemy is and no matter what the situation the one thing in his mind is to break his enemy without mercy and without doubts that is why i like his hollow a lot more than him

      • flyingpig - February 3, 2011 at 9:45 pm #

well, that’s how ichigo was at the beginning and then somewhere after grimmjow he transformed into this real average character. and things were getting worse and worse, ishida practically vanished from the storyline, inoue is a nice girl but we could do with significantly less time spent on her and chad with renji ended up spending a lot of time face down…. at least rukia did not disapoint me as much.

ginjou is getting more and more suspicious, at first i was like ‘meeeh… riruka is just being silly…’ but now that we have seen some more of her i get the impression that she is acting silly but she is not. your description probably is the best; so, now i am starting to worry. i really think ginjou having a badge is most definitely pointing to sth BAD… again at first i didn’t know what to believe, but now i am getting the bad-vibe from this guy.

      • J.J. - February 3, 2011 at 10:45 pm #

Most probably because at the beginning especially in the SS arc he wasn’t aware of his hollow powers, after gaining this ominous thing in him he got really afraid of its destructive power that it could even hurt the ones that are close to him, that is probably or most definitely the reason he changed, seeing that at first it tried to devour and overtake his humanity, rukia saying he has some weird power, inoue being scared of how he looked when he fought grimmjow, he is practically afraid and disgraced by it.

Ishida was there when he fought ulquiora although he got served and got his hands cut off, but i agree to what you are saying that they are far behind ichigo in terms of power, its like Goku— krillin, yamcha, tenshinhan, etc. (:))

      • J.J. - February 3, 2011 at 10:50 pm #

Ginjou in the first chapter with a shinigami badge is really puzzling me and is very suspicious of having such, i don’t know who owns it, at first i thought he pick pocketed ichigo but nothing indicates that, i don’t really know is it his? or someone else? probably the badge of the previous shinigami/human representative, after all ukitake mentioned that the badge are being handed down to the ones that are called shinigami representative meaning there is someone other than ichigo who received such a badge, so i really agree with your suspicions

      • flyingpig - February 4, 2011 at 1:40 am #

and this guy, the shinigami who is responsible for kt don’t remember his name 8P, has disappeared (not that he had a badge i remember he didn’t even recognise it) but the only shinigami stationed in the real world who could serve as a bridge with ss is out of the picture. then it is also the question of the movie events and how they will interconnect with the current storyline. i am guessing we have yet to reach them, or else what kubo said was just for marketing purposes. finally, i am still puzzled over rukia’s, renji’s and byakuya’s(?) ‘shadows’ appearing to ichigo how many chapters ago was that??? but most importantly how many days have passed in the narrative since that event… i mean it has to be important or else why would these three come to visit a guy who tecnhically cannot see them

and then ginjou having a badge, we know he can use his pendant (that i still find mysterious in a way) and he fullbrings a sword.. i wonder if the badge can help him manifest sth else… maybe he is that other shinigami…???

      • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 11:15 am #

You’re talking about af-san? the afro shinigami incharge of the town in exchange for rukia:)zennosuke i believe is his name the one activates his zanpaktou by saying “good morning”

      • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 11:22 am #

I can’t say that image of them was technically a visit from the 3, i believe it was ichigo’s dream or something indication his attachment to them and gotei 13 and the movie you mean hell arc? as i said before kubo should open hell for a canon, if he wants to expand bleach universe, it and the royal realm are the only thing undisclosed, maybe or maybe there are more:)

The badge that FP and JJ are discussing in my part there can be many possibilities either he is the other shinigami rep.(ginjou)? or probably stole or got or received it from the previous shinigami rep before ichigo, no matter what, he is its still suspicious of him to have a badge which is only handed down secretly by high officials of gotei13

      • flyingpig - February 4, 2011 at 7:28 pm #

wooow… JBL41 what do you mean secretly?? i didn’t remember that?? do you mean that ukitake gave that badge to ichigo in secret??? please don’t take this the wrong way, i just mean to say that if ukitake did so then he must have anticipated some things…

ginjou became suspicious to me after this chapter, at first i didn’t know what to think because kubo was playing with us with ginjou’s face and overall design… but now i am seriously distrusting this person, usually in manga characters like riruka are ‘goodies’ and when the feel uncomfortable around someone, then this someone turns out to be either some antihero type or an antagonist (even a minor one)

      • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 7:41 pm #

I don’t know if its secretly, i could barely remember in the anime but ukitake gave it to him before he left SS and lower ranks of gotei 13 like that zennosuke dude doesn’t know about shinigami representative badges, maybe just the high ranks and those who are close to them like rukia knows about badges handed down

      • flyingpig - February 4, 2011 at 8:33 pm #

        from ch.181

        from ch.182

if anyone has any more post them… because i do not remember every single thing about the stupid badge.

and for the lolz (good old times, when i think how old i were back then i almost feel the tears….)

      • JBL41 - February 7, 2011 at 10:29 am #

Judging by what ukitake said regarding shinigami representatives, its definite that there are unknown numbers before ichigo and ishida is worrying about the badge? that i don’t get, he must sense somethings off or is it just it resembles rukia’s gloves

now bleach i just getting on my nerves. it really does fell like this recent arc is just like a filer episode.

what did the shinigami guys take from matsumoto to put into hogyoku? and why did it make gin mad

    • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 2:49 pm #

Reiatsu presented to his own early version of the hogyouku but a failed one

Could this history segment of aizen answer you question?

“At an unknown point in the past, Aizen invested himself in the research and creation of the hogyoku even before Kisuke Urahara. To this end, he sacrificed hundreds of Shinigami and hundreds of Rukongai citizens who bore Shinigami talents to his own hogyoku. But it was not satisfied with this. He is seen standing in a clearing with three other Shinigami who are kneeling before him by Gin Ichimaru. One of the Shinigami hands Aizen the hogyoku. Aizen puts the object in a glass and then hands it back to the Shinigami. Aizen and his subordinates leave an unconscious Rangiku Matsumoto a short distance away”

  15. JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 2:59 pm #

Check out the schedule of the final episodes of season 14 and the battle of aizen and ichigo will start episode 308 and end episode 310

“Bleach’s recording director assistant Yosuke Morita confirmed on his Twitter account that the broadcast schedule has been set well into the future, and so the anime will not end soon”

Whether it will end at 310, continue with fillers, stop for weeks or months and continue again when the manga is far ahead we will definitely now after february 22, 2011 if their is a preview for next episode then it continues, if it ends then it will say so, and if it will be in hiatus it will say so too

    • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 3:02 pm #

Ahh faulty link : try this one go to the very bottom

      • flyingpig - February 4, 2011 at 7:34 pm #

        oooh, thanks!!!

just out of curiosity how many would be ok if the show stopped??

personally i am not particularly satisfied with the overall quality of the anime (i mean the muramasa arc had better animation than the fkt battles for the most part); i would prefer if they switched to OVA just to improve that…

      • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 7:54 pm #

No idea as long as it selling DVD’s and stuff and has a great popularity worldwide, it will still continue till kubo ends it, it depends with the network.

I still prefer and consider bleach art and animation better compared to naruto, one piece and other long-ass animes, i just don’t like fillers of it, i know because i have a collection of it in HD of these 3 series:), It takes up too much space in my PC

But if you ask me instead of OVA, i’d like a CGI version of the manga without fillers, right from the start ss to this point like FF7 advent children, or even better since that was release 2005

      • flyingpig - February 4, 2011 at 8:22 pm #

me likes your suggestion!!!! oooh, think of byakuya vs ichigo, or grimmjow vs ichigo…. the ulquiorra fight i hear was good in the movie, but still; yeah, i propose the studio does as you say, or else

      • JBL41 - February 4, 2011 at 10:17 pm #

Yeah i certainly hope so, its far better than some unrelated fillers or fillers that are connected to the storyline. If that would push through, it will be really be awesome, imagines those fights that you mentioned in CGI and i sure hope there is no censorship, but even with a little less gore compared to the manga it will still be beyond any other anime, plus the manga will be allowed to extend itself further away in order to continue the series in anime.

The main problem though is that CGI causes greatly even compared to live action movies, but i’m betting the sales and network broadcasting around the world could recover the expenses after its all done

    • kayori1928 - February 7, 2011 at 3:08 am #

I think the anime should stop for awhile. Why? They cant create any filler based upon powers or storyline because the main character lost his powers. The only filler that could be created is seing them go through school or have a filler with only Soul Society characters. Both would be boring. Or worse yet back track and have a filler that more belongs while Fake Karakura Arc is taking place. If that happens we’ll all be sitting there knowing Ichigo has no powers. It will suck.

  16. Itachi - February 5, 2011 at 12:23 am #

I really really really like bleach… but it’s ridiculous in one chapter 15 of 17 pages add nothing usefull to the history line…
Differently, OP brings a lot of informations, making each page a important part of the chapter…
English is not my language, so I cant express myself how I would like to do, ’cause of this I put a great example of what I’m talking about—-> … I could become a mangaka this way

    • Niko - February 5, 2011 at 1:20 am #

For me it’s ok becouse if I would like to read a book then I wouldn’t bother reading comics where I can see a big pictures and I don’t need to use my imagination everytime. BTW it’s hard to create a good dramatic atmosphere to the farewell. I prefer that farewell in bleach than for example a ton of text on entire page and a little farewell that someone could overlook. And finally, Bleach will be out there for about 10 years more, so I’m pretty much sure that You will know every little piece of story at the end of manga.

  17. Im Old Gregg - February 5, 2011 at 2:21 am #

Ive been thinking about this power transfer and was wondering what if this allows ichigo to materialize Shiro Tensa Zangetsu? That would be awsome, Tensa firing off compressed spiritual energy and Shiro Tensa firing off compressed ceros.

    • J.J. - February 5, 2011 at 9:36 am #

Yeah you could say that he can materialize both at the same time will he can use his fullbring and the two materialize zanpkatous of his can fight at the same time, like pain and his several bodies

  18. hollowfly - February 5, 2011 at 2:57 am #

Hmmm, so ichigo actually died in the movie. Very unexpected. But how can he revive if he died as a shinigami?

    • flyingpig - February 5, 2011 at 3:46 am #

      ??? wtf???

ok.. firstly give heads up for spoilers and 2ndly, wtf????

You talking about the fourth movie?

      • flyingpig - February 5, 2011 at 6:44 am #

        well, he doesn’t die!!!!!

      • J.J. - February 5, 2011 at 9:40 am #

He can’t die, how many times we have seen him “die” but his hollow side keeps reviving him, remember his hollow has a rapid regenerative capability maybe even faster that both ulquiorra and tousen demonstrated, all i’ve seen whether manga, anime or fillers, ichigo’s hollow is has a regenerating capability faster that any, that includes healing factor, namekians, vampires etc., the only way possible for him to die is maybe to chop of his head

      • flyingpig - February 5, 2011 at 8:08 pm #

i hadn’t read the spoilers for the movie and the post gave me a massive heart attack…

but now that i have read the spoilers, i can’t wait for the movie!!!!! dammit!dammit!dammit!dammit!dammit! this was precisely the reason behind running the opposite way from jigoku-hen spoilers

ps. unmasked kokutou just climbed up in my list; the guy is sick mwahahahahahahaaaaaaahaaa~cough~cough~haaaaahaa

  19. replyman - February 5, 2011 at 6:41 am #

im still riding on my assumption ichigos fullbring ability is the hollow and zangetsu merged power in ichigo. also that his dying mother protecting him gave him these powers, because he allready had slieght shini powers. (during conception sperm have half dna and egg has half), would explain why ishin says to urahara, ” i never had any vendetta against the grandfisher for killing my wife” my theory, he knows. O_o dun dun dunnnnn

    • J.J. - February 5, 2011 at 9:43 am #

But i still like it if ichigo would have a new ability, combined with his shinigami and hollow powers in the past, mastering everything and using it as a variety of attackss

getsuga tenshou was like a cero and reiatsu thing. he may b able to randomly fire these wilst as a human also the telekenisis was cool

    • Hm... - February 5, 2011 at 11:32 am #

Yh that would sound nice, I’m just wondering, a fullbrings ability is superior to a shinigamis pwr? I mean like nullyfying reiatsu or somehthing. Ishida got taken down so easily… Maybe Ichigo used fullbring pwrs to stop soukyouko phoenix, cuz i got like.. ->O.o when ichigo stopped it like nothing :( If somebody know how he did it plz tell me :P

I believe that was just raw power by ichico stopping the pheonix, like kenpachi blocking his attacked with his body without a scratch.

I can’t say that fullbring is superior to shinigami powers, fullbring is only possible if you have an affinity, likeness, fond, intimacy, “love”, something that is with you that you value or fullbring can only manipulate the soul of matter which can has “sentimental value” and familiarity to the user. It won’t work on random matters you don’t like and are not familiar with, like what riruka said unlike ginjou who is only fond of his necklace, she has lots of thinsg and wants new things to “love” while compared to a shinigami they can use their power anytime they want without any requirements or restriction for it to use.

You can put it like this that a fullbring is only available for humans who has acquired or inherited hollow like powers, thus its only a part of a hollow’s power. But if you say that “ENTIRELY” as a whole that a hollows ability to boost an individuals power is superior to a shinigami, i would agree to that, like what it did to the vizards, to ichigo, to chad and the fullbringers, it has more variety of effects and has a larger impact compared to a shinigami’s.

The arrancars is a hollow that has removed its mask and has gained shinigami like powers but the only similarities they have with a shinigami is their humanoid appearance, physiology and their zanpaktou where by released their true hollow forms comes out, this means that their true base of power still comes from their hollows

      • J.J. - February 5, 2011 at 2:20 pm #

Its still too early to say which is superior, but judging by the early details i’d go with shinigami because anytime you can use a shinigami’s power without any prerequisite unlike in fullbring you have to be connected and familiarize yourself with a certain object in order to fully utilize its power.

Lets say in a situation in battle were you fight an enemy and suddenly been separated from the object you have an affinity with then you wouldn’t stand a chance, unlike shinigami powers its always there anytime and anywhere its inside of the user, so it situations in my opinion i’d still pick shinigami powers over fullbring but its still to early to compare clearly which is superior for both of them.

      • flyingpig - February 5, 2011 at 8:26 pm #

well, this affinity with an object is an important restriction, but on the other hand we don’t really know the full extent of what fullbring can do. ok, ginjou has a sword and riruka shrinks people but what about the others or even in general about fullbring, what could be the greatest ‘thing’ that can be pulled out or manifested via fullbring.

it seems that the actual ability is, as i thought, the same mechanism applied differently by different people; so, to go to an extreme and stupid example but what if someone could manifest sth like nagato’s Outer Path? (i already said the example is stupid, therefore do not complain)

afterall, they can help the object they connect to, to reach its maximum potential (a bit like the hog in a way); it is also making me wonder about shinigami and their zanpakutos. everytime a shinigami uses shikai/bankai they have to draw out their sword’s spirit potential that then becomes actual offensive power. using raw power, more or less like kenpachi does, is thought extremely rare and somehow ‘unnatural’.

i suppose this is what aizen meant when he spoke to ichigo about ‘seeing him as great research material’. it must have to do with the way all these races/creatures/people (call them however, whatever you want) interconnect to each other. it is a bit like trying to see if ss, hueco mundo, hell and royal dimnsion all link to a certain point. this point is most likely the ‘key’ (not necessarily ouken) to the balance of these worlds aka dimensions

      • Hm... - February 6, 2011 at 2:11 am #

Haha yh I can only come up with an answere like raw power. But the phoenix bird seemed to be a legendery “thing” which can’t be stopped, so that’s why those two captains ned the crest to destroy it. If I can understand it right, ichigo at that time was weak = those two captains could easily stop the soukyuko halberd? And don’t wanna talk about Aizen lol, bet he could stop it one finger then lol….

ok, i finished the post-reply above and then thought about it for a minute so, now i have some new ideas to blabber about…

the zanpakutou are formed by their wielder’s; the solidification of their Reiryoku gives the sword its form, this is why lower ranking shinigami have this generic swords. the sword and spirit are part of the shinigami. the release commands are a means to activate their shikai and bankai (though the latter has no actual release command, it is slightly like the release of the arrancar: the shinigami say bankai followed by the ‘true’ (?possibly?) name of the spirit. and we know from ichigo that the form of the spirit may also change, maybe indicating that the full release reveals the spirit’s and sword’s actual self and power)

the arrancar and the espada have a similar process, we all know i won’t get into more details, but the main point is that after they release they call out their true power and potential.

so, both shinigami and hollows>> at least the more sophisticated ones, have a type of a fullbring ability or so it seems. furthermore in both cases their powers are sealed/ contained in their swords, but his could be due to practical reasons. shinigami are warriors, therefore the object most likely to carry around with them all the time is their sword (considering the setting and era they live) though we have seen that in shikai and bankai the form of the actual sword can change into sth that represents the wielder’s character and power more accurately. the arrancar and espada were made for wartime also, so sealing their power in a sword that could also come in handy is the rational thing to do. fullbringers are human beings who might be forced to fight or not, so they have no need to carry one specific type of object with them

now, the real question is: how does kido work? they have to say an incantation to summon fire, water, air and various other elemental or not attacks?

    • JBL41 - February 5, 2011 at 9:54 pm #

“now, the real question is: how does kido work?”

The definition of kidou is the technique that shinigami use to focus their SPIRITUAL ENERGY into a wide variety of magic spells that can serve many purposes, such as healing, defense, or combat. The levels of kidou are from 1 to 99 making the later the strongest and more difficult to cast

“they have to say an incantation to summon fire, water, air and various other elemental or attacks?”

Not necessarily, basically in order for the kidou to have its full effect and full power you must recite the incantation but it will take time and you would be vulnerable by this but there is a way around this delay by using eishohaki(Incantation Abandonment), this abandons the incantation but drastically weakens the spell although it still depends on the user for only experts in kido can usually do eishohaki and deliver a powerful damage without and incantation but that doesn’t change the fact that its damage is drastically lessened.

Like what aizen did to komamura using the black coffin without an incantation after kumamura collapse to the ground gin commented on how he can do a level 90 without an incantation and aizen said it was nothing it was only 1/3 of its maximum effect, the next he did it to ichigo during their recent battle and did the incantation for the black coffin and it was pretty huge covering almost 2 pages in the manga and dwarfing ichigo, after which aizen claimed that there is no way ichigo would survive it because it was a level 90 kidou with an incantation done by a being that surpasses both hollow and shinigami, to which ichigo responded by shattering it only with his left arm like a glass:). This can only mean that a stronger the user is the higher, stronger the damage of the kidou whether what level it is an experience kidou master can have more damage casting a level 4 hadou than a amateur who casts a level 31 hadou spell

You can browse it all here it has almost all the kidou, mostly the once that are use and the rest are still unidentified or not yet revealed

      • flyingpig - February 5, 2011 at 10:20 pm #

yep, i know all that; thanks anyway, but it still doesn’t explain how it works only what happens.

  22. That Guy - February 6, 2011 at 1:50 pm #

So, there are three leftover henchmen of Aizen’s unaccounted for, the current Arc is called the Missing Badge Arc or something like that, New-Shinji’s first act after appearing was to draw attention to Ichigo’s badge – somewhere between the first and second ramen offer – and now, they’re kind of ham-fisting the idea that Ichigo should use the badge to fullbring. Is anyone else sensing an elaborate, albeit laughably obvious trap?

    • Yellow Flash - February 6, 2011 at 2:43 pm #

Unaccounted for?, you mean grimmjow-last known seriously injured-, gin-probably dead or not-, afro arrancar-healed by unohana-, nel and his buddies-still alive not yet revealed of what condition she is now-. This leftovers are probably now under mayuri since he was the last official of gotei13 to be going from ss to hueco mundo for research.

Almost everyone here has their doubts on Xcution but most notably ginjou and because ichigo is so desperate to get his powers back because of something happened and happening that he doesn’t know about like the attack on ishida that left him hospitalized and a possible attack on the rest like inoue or chad and also the secret visits of his sister to urahara and the supposed mysterious “true” identity of urahara that ginjou implied shouldn’t be trusted by ichigo and also about the indication that ginjou somehow knows about his dad’s identity and probably his past, ichigo decided to trust the group, well i still find ginjou the most suspicious looking amongst the Xcution, something like he has his own agenda or something

      • That Guy - February 7, 2011 at 12:47 am #

I was referring to the three as-of-yet unidentified shinigami from Gin’s flashback; the bald one even covered for Aizen during the Turn-Back-the-Pendulum storyline, so they probably weren’t pointless filler/background characters.Maybe they were simply faceless cronies, but what if they aren’t? In regards to the arrancar, basically, all of the survivors who weren’t clearly killed off were still written out of the story, and are therefore as good as dead.

      • JBL41 - February 7, 2011 at 10:23 am #

Dead? nel and pals are alive, grimmjow is unconfirmed the arrancar chad fought is 100% alive, unohana healed him, what is the purpose of mayuri going to hueco mundo if they are written out, very simple they will definitely appear again

    • SAM KNIGHT - February 6, 2011 at 3:57 pm #

The arrancar that are possibly alive are: Grimmjow,G Mosqueda,Melony and Loly,Nelliel, Pesche and Dondochakka.

    • flyingpig - February 6, 2011 at 5:09 pm #

the only way(s) aizen can have sth to do with what is happening now is either for him to have already escaped -somehow- and set up a trap that includes ichigo getting his powers back; sth i really doubt it could happen, no matter how irresponsible the gotei and c46 are they have to have a way of checking the people they imprison. or, if he had planned (????) for all of these to happen and he wanted to go to hell, sth i also find very unlikely since aizen did act very weird after fusing with the hog, his behavior changed, the way he was fighting changed and in the end went completely mad.

the way the story is going i don’t see any further connections with aizen.

      • JBL41 - February 6, 2011 at 5:32 pm #

He was not sent to hell, they sentence him to muken the 8th and lowest level of the underground prison. Hell is where sinners are sent when they “die”, aizen can’t die:)at least for now

What i don’t know is if muken is part of the maggots nest(where urahara was in charge before, and where mayuri was held and some other potentially dangerous shinigami and some hasn’t even committed a crime yet but is considered dangerous in the future) or a completely different prison

      • flyingpig - February 6, 2011 at 8:02 pm #

they said avici, so i assumed it spoke of hell and since in the movie hell also has multiple levels that’s how it seemed. but you are right it could be a completely different place altogether. and in the filler episode kyouraku, i think, also mentioned that various other creatures make hell their home or sth along the same lines…. besides i thought of hell as a kneat way of keeping the seriously dangerous individuals separate and apart from the rest, hollows might be dangerous but mostly because they cannot control their impulses. (and when they evolve to higher forms they become less violent, grimmjow is an exception :P)

but i am glad you also thought that this avici might be connected to maggots nest… or maybe the 2nd division grounds in general. afterall they are responsible for ‘security’ like the CIA of bleach or sth….

:: dreamtime:: now, all we(>>> i) need is kyouraku helping aizen out

      • JBL41 - February 6, 2011 at 8:40 pm #

HAHA If kyouraku become a bad guy that would be one unexpected turn:), urahara is almost a given, but kyoraku is a laid back womanizing machine:)

Now that you mention it you’re correct on the Onmitsukido functions more of the CIA of bleach:) and its functions are separate from the gotei13 and only answers to the commander in chief. There are 4 division more under Onmitsukido beside the detention unit, there is Executive Militia, Patrol Corps, Reversal Counter Force, and an unknown division which i thought was the kidou corps, but it was said that the kido corps is completely different division and has its own captain and vice captain, since tessai and hachigen left a long time ago i wonder who runs it now or is it vacant like the 3,5,9 squad of gotei 13 where they couldn’t find any qualified replacement

Bah anyway it is said that bleach will continue for 10 more years at least, there should be enough time to fill those holes hhehe

      • flyingpig - February 6, 2011 at 10:34 pm #

unless….. aizen turns out to be semi-bad. well, noone that he attacked actually died and harribel was technically ‘purified’. personally, for the time being i still see aizen as more of a napoleon-type of character rather than hitler or stalin. and i could definitely see kyouraku supporting change, but not in such an inhuman way

and on the kido corps and why do they have to be a completely separate institution i think we have to know more. don’t forget that in the tbtp arch tessai was (supposed to be) sent to avici as well for using a spell that would alter space-time, like a certain sb’s ability…..

don’t know, but when in any establishment too many secrets pile up then sth is going wrong and that’s how it seems with ss

  23. flyingpig - February 7, 2011 at 3:43 pm #

if there are more human/shinigami out there they have to be characters we know; if it was about a new group of people then they should had been the ones introduced to help restore ichigo’s power instead of some random people whose mothers were randomly attacked by some random hollow…. (now that i think about it)
