Looks like Unohana is dead, but still unsure, lets wait for the text(translation) in this week’s chapter and also the future plot.
Panel switches to Renji and Ichigo, Nimaiya announced that Renji has passed, however Ichigo is lying over there and was told that he did not passed, in the end it seems like Nimaiya trapped Ichigo in the place.

Bleach 527 Spoilers Trivia : Though now known by this name, Retsu, which means “violent” or “fierce”, Unohana used to be called Yachiru, during the time she was the First Kenpachi. Yachiru means “Eight thousand/many flows” or “Eight thousand/many exiles”.
Wonder why the 13 Gotei has gotten weaker over time
because they never go all out. They restrain themselves from go all out to avoid damaging the soul society.
They became softer.
Guess that’s a good reason. Thought it would be like the next generation always surpasses the previous. But with them weaker as time goes by.
The new generation still needs a lot of time before they can surpass the previous generations. Though the “Divisions” from a thousand years back were said to be the strongest generation, partially due to the harsh type of characters that formed the Divisions. S.S was in its prime back then.

Lets see isshin soon. Re-reading the fkt arc fight between isshin and aizen has me curious. How does isshin know aizen? What squad was he captain of?
Nimaya said ichigo is a zanpaktuless human. Means zangetsu’s soul is not there anymore. And that explains why Hash was able to cut it like butter just as Byakuya and Urahara did. That’s why ichigo has to do it from the start as he did back then.
So is he going through the same procedure which Urahara had used to make him a SR again? Or this time he will have to die to become a SR.
I am also thinking that what is happening with him may have happened with Isshin too.
Hopefully he dies so he can be a true Soul Reaper and have true power
Ichigo already died. he was the first character to actually die in the Bleach series. Urahara already had Tessai Tsukabishi kill Ichigo.

Ichigo dying was the start of the Hollofication process. So if Ichigo is going to revive Zangetsu, Urahara needs to try another method besides killing. since Ichigo already died.
Once The Chain of Fate (因果の鎖, Inga no Kusari) is cut your dead. and the soul can’t return to it’s dead human body.
so does that mean that ichigo, karin, and yuzu’s bodies are half human and half gigai?

Well ichigos soul was removed from his body before the chain was cut. Idk it’s really confusing. Maybe they’re spiritual bodies are shinigami instead of regular soul.
If he died then how do you explain his being in human body during the fullbring arc?If that was a gigai then why didn’t he stepped out of it when he got his powers back?
you said human body like both his parents are human, and his father is a shinigami in a Gigai. and he didn’t step out of his body when he got his powers back for the same reason he didn’t step out of his body when Rukia Transferred her powers to him in the first arc.
I think ichigo is going to get an asauchi, develope it into a zanpakuto, his current one will dissapear, he’ll get a new zangetsu.

I am biased about Unohana being dead or not. Coz
1) Will Kenny let her die? Since he shackled himself in fear of losing her when he was a child it wouldn’t be a troll if he saves her now.
2) Killing an Elite captain just to give a pointless power up to a character in such a time when you are already short at potential personnel doesn’t make sense at all. She can prove to be a trump card for the SS given her skilled of one hit kill and healing (among others). It won’t be easy to kill someone like her.
Besides it will be a crap if she dies just after her 1st fight in the whole series as people were pining to see her fighting all the while.

1) He may kill her and let her live in the memories of (poor) Kenny just as Hisana, Masaki and Gin are in the memories of their counterparts. Kubo’s custom about canon couples of bleach.
2) By logic of SR’s death in bleach, the extent of ‘a SR’s will to live’ decides he will survive or not e.g. ichigo during the SS arc, Gin, Unohana’s statement about Hiyori (ep 310).It seems (or it is evident that) she has given up her will to live. So she may not make it.

I know, I shouldn’t be here.. damn, I’m not good at keeping up with self-motivations.
Anyway.
1. What a surprise (ironically speaking), Kenpachi didn’t know the name of his sword, didn’t hear it too.. ..constant release shikai, uh? Is everybody finally convinced now that Kenpachi did not have shikai up until now, or should Kubo be yet much more explicit in it?
2. The words of the guy are illuminating. Ichigo never holded an Assauchi in his hands. This was (almost) trivially true (but yet arguable), since Ichigo materialized his sword from within his soul when he regained Shinigami Powers the first time (with Urahara).
One of the most intriguing ability of Fullbringers and Quincy is that of manipulating Spiritual Power. I would suggest that Ichigo unconsciously materialized his sword up until now, thanks to this part of his powers.
So we may put aside the fable of “Constant Release Zampakutou”, simply because Kenpachi has never been in “release” form (truly, he was in “self suppress” mode) and Ichigo didn’t really hold an Assauchi.. so there was no way to him to transform back his shikai into a plain sword.
The plot-twist of this week was great, and.. unexpected.
I agree, and it wouldn’t make sense on zaraki achieving shikai with out hearing his zanpakuto’s name.

I think she’s actually dead. They gave her the signature color page with a parting phrase like they did with yama . And plus there can only be one kenpachi just like unohana said. So no she’s definitely dead
