Here ichigo tells kirige that his attacks are stronger than uryuu’s and kirige states that it’s impossible for uryuu’s attacks to be weaker than kirige.
Makes me think that juhah bach send uryuu to keep an eye on ichigo so that he knows where the “pure blood” stands. I think uryuu grew attached to ichigo and co. That’s why his face looks depressed when he tells them he can’t go with them to hueco mundo. What u guys think?
That’s something i have been obsessing over for quite a while that people just seem to ignore. I can’t say he was fully aware as he did not know of ivan but the look definitely says he was not completely in the dark. As for the arrow comment, that definitely strikes me as peculiar. He wouldn’t say that for nothing, so i’m guessing that there is something going on with ishida. I kind of have a feeling that he and/or his father will make an appearance as soon as isshins flashback ends.
I wondered this since the kirige fight but was re-reading last night and thought i should post it, to me this all seems very likely.
my guess is he doesn’t know common soldier arrancars and even if he did know, he would just act like he didn’t. Bach seems to kill them off over anything anyways so he might not have known ivan for this reason.
Yeah, had he seen kirge his reaction would have been different, i just hope we finally see his part in this arc soon.

- idea for isshin be captain for 10th division it is bad because that make no sense that any one not know ichige from that he has the same power of isshin if any one didn’t know his power than yammato must know him because he must saw all power of isshin to make him captain
I think she was more devestated of losing gin, that she put it aside for later.

I do not want ukitake to die, and i doubt that rukia is at the level to take over for him just yet. Ichigo becoming squad 8 captain would be cool, but i don’t know what him dying would do since his soul was already transformed into a shinigami.
It said to make him stronger.
Though a Lieutenant is needed as well maybe Karin or Lisa.
I really don’t think ichigo dying will make him stronger seeing as in his soul reaper form he is technically already dead because he is separated from his body as a spiritual being. Also dying will cause him to lose the badass quincy poweres he should be getting in a few weeks, months? In any case i don’t think anyone would be a better vice captain for him than rukia but karin is the next best choice, given she awakens her soul reaper and/or quincy powers.
Where’s the link that states kira is alive? Not trying to contradict you are just want to see if he really is alive.
saw a youtube video of a guy talking about things Kubo said in an Interview and he answered a question about Kira’s Bankai saying it was nauseating. So i believe he’s alive can’t be dead just yet
no, kubo in an interview stated that, if he WERE to give a liutenant a bankai, it WOULD be yumichika, since kira’s would be nauseating… so kubo doesn’t want kira to have bankai.

The unknown Previous squad 10 captain was isshins brother (kaien’s dad), when he died, isshin took over. Then he left or died or whatever and then kaien was last Shiba left in gotei 13

During Hitsugaya’s recruitment by Rangiku she wasn’t a Lt. so Isshin had to be the one to pick her for his Lt. not the Previous Captain bc like I said when hitsugaya joined the academy in that Chapter Momo was a Cadet for 5 years and During her first year is when Aizen and Gin saved them and Gin was a Lt. at the time as it states here

Seeing that and that Renji was still a student at the time of her adoption makes me think that its possible that they were close to completion or 6th years meaning a year had past since Hitsugaya joined them but thats just a guess so take it with care Anyhow since i dont see hitsuguya even if he did what Keian and gin b4 him did and graduate in a years time enter the G13 b4 the current officers meaning Rangiku ahd been with Isshin for a while but when she was a couple feet from him here

She Still didn’t recognize him yes his appearance has aged 20 years since then (about the same amount of time he was without powers witch might have a little to do with it) but he still tha same person and has the same reatsu for he to sens right?

Bayakuya Went from being his arrogant self to actually showing some force just bc he said Shiba now IDK what to make of it it maybe that he hates the Shiba but knowing him its more likely that he Respects them now some would say its bc that were once the 5th noble house but they aren’t anymore so i don’t think that’s it so could it be that Kiean or Isshin or one of there relatives Done something for him to earn it who knows he may have been Isshins Lt. b4 rangiku and b4 he was promoted to captain 50 years ago after all Isshin was Captain up till 20 years ago whats your Opinion on these matters Hmmm?

Isshin’s name is Shiba hence no one recognized Kurosaki when Ichigo invaded SS. Ichigo’s similarity to Kaein has always been stated. No one has met Isshin even when they were in Ichigo’s house. Kubo stated in the interview that if Isshin had gone with Urahara to SS during the fullbring arc, it would have been a huge thing which is because everyone must have assumed that he died in battle.
This flashback is 20 years ago when it was stated before that Isshin had fought a hollow. My theory is that the experiments Aizen conducted on that Hollow must have had some side effect on Isshin that made him slowly lose his powers.
As for Rukia not knowing who Ichigo’s dad is, well, you guys are forgetting that the only person from the Shiba clan who was there that time when Rukia was in the Gotei 13 was Kaien. My guess is, she entered the gotei 13 about 15 years ago. The shiba clan lost their noble status cause of Isshin by that time.

a few years before that byakuya and gin became captains, and bya also became head clan.
when byakuya adopted her, he made it so she got diploma from the academy and instantly put in gotei 13, that was 40 ys ago.
there she met kaien, already a liutenant.

40 ys ago > kaien is a liutenant > x (kaien death)
x > isshin is captain > 20 ys ago
what we do not know is if isshin and kaien served during the same period.
from what I understood, isshin at the time of the flash back was head of the shiba clan even though he’s from the cadet branch, kaien was already dead, since he was from the main clan branch and previous head…
people are getting worked up because isshin ‘s past does not really make perfectly sense….. Duh it’s kubo so there will surely be some incoherence with the plot, just enjoy the show….. It’s not like a small mistake will spoil the fun of that flashback

Rukia is from the same generation as Renji, Kira Izuru and “Toshiro’s girlfriend”. Neither of them has been in the reviews of past, because they joined SS in the same time. So Rukia’s training and fatally fight with Kaien owned by modified Aizen hollow was after Isshin’s being captain, because at his time Matsumoto, Toshiro, Gin and even Aizen are slightly but seemingly younger. And it was stated that “Vizzardo accident” has been about two months ago and it’s still a fresh case.

That might be effect of Uruhara’s Gigai (Artificial Body). The same effect has been seen with Rukia’s powers whe she was being in that body.

toshiro was fighting harribel while isshin was fighting aizen, he even asked the visored to handle harribel so he could go and attack aizen.
so actually toshiro shouldve realised isshin was there, but he didnt mention it
nope, toushiro fought with harribel BEFORE isshin showed up.
remember, aizen himself defeated harribel, then the captains who went after him, then ichigo showed up, aizen fought again against gotei13, fought with yama-jii, and THEN, when everybody was defeated and on the ground, he fought vs ichigo and THEN isshin urahara and yoruichi showed up.
and obviously then they went to the real karakura-chou in SS…

i was thinking, maybe she was still in the academy when isshin was captain, and so didnt know of any captains.
but there’s perhaps a little time lapse here… rukia has never been shown in any major flashbacks as far as i remember.
so there has to be quite a time gap inbetween tbtp and this current flashback.
heres my reasoning:
starting at 100 years ago, 10th squad captain was vacant at TBTP arc time. isshin came in as captain to replace him/her after the visored incident. whether he was already VC of another division at that point we dont know.
in this chapter’s flashback, aizen has taken over captaincy from shinji, and gin from rose – you can see gin’s captain’s haori but you cant really see tousen’s, so we can’t assume he is captain yet. but he probably is.
gin in tbtp was quite yonug. now he seems grown up, how long would that of taken?
if rukia was still in academy at this point, and she must of been because isshin has to “die” before kaien (fall of the family etc). then it only gives like 50~75 years for her to get to almost lieutenant level. but that period is too long for isshin/masaki to have kids.
so this flashback must be ~20? years before the start of series?
in which case rukia definitely shouldve been in 13th division already and should of known of isshin… probably.

Isshin couldn’t have been a Vice-Captain in TBTP there was a photo released of all the Captains and Vice-Captains at that time. And Tousen was a Captain before Gin. Gin and Byakuya became captains at the same time roughly rhen Toshiro.

It was pretty obvious the person ukitake was talking about was kaien. He thought kaien and ichigo looked similar.
I was actually thinking its Kaien Shiba, since he looks like him and he was Ukitakes lieutenant

they were just in ichigo’s room. Furthermore if isshin didn’t want his former subordinantes recognising him he probably stayed out of the way when they came. Remember by this time he had his powers back and could sense riatsu. Not to mention that they might not be able to distingquish his riatsu in the house because of ichigo, remember rukia in the first chapter, not to mention the fact that i am guessing Ishin and Ichigo have similar riatsu do to being father and son with simmilar zanpakto that have the same powers. So it is actualy plausible that they didn’t notice him.
Then they might have suspected that IChigo is somehow related to Isshin because of similar reiatsu. But they dint + Don’t you think family photographs in the home make them realise that it is actually Isshin’s home (Though this is a long shot thingy). It is possible they met him off-screen (off manga! xD) and he might’ve asked them to keep quiet about it! :-( May be a bad theory..
I think Rukia is the only shinigami that has been to Ichigo’s house canonically. So no one else would’ve even seen or known Ichigo’s dad.
And nearly everyone has realized how similar Ichigo and Kaien looked.

yes, but here’s the weird part, Rukia said that she was adopted by byakuya 40 years before her execution. and Urahara said that Isshin abandon his shinigami form 20 years before the Arrancar arc. this means there’s a 20 year gap for Rukia to meet squad 10 captain Shiba through byakuaya.
Someone probs erased the G13 of their memories of isshin and only a selected few knoq isshin?
