Obito not being able to use izanagi or Naruto not being able to reverse the effects of that attack must have something to do with yin or yang release. Like how edo Minato’s arms didn’t regenerate after he lost them. The effect of the attack must be irreversible.

  2. Naruto>>>Sasuke

something strange in this chapter, look at the first image, just behind Naruto :

    • Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 10:44 am #

yeah I somehow knew this was what you were referring to.

It does resemble a figure but it could be a crack in the wall that just looks like a human body. Kind of like when we see a bunch of stones and they look like a person’s face.

  4. Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 10:53 am #

I noticed a lot of people are turned off by Naruto calling Obito awesome.

I think I understand why despite all Obito did to Naruto he would say such a thing. Obito realised the error in his ways and team 7 sees that even though Obito cannot undo what he did. However, Obito had at this point become pathetic and wished with all his heart to make ammends. No one likes him either. I think Naruto due to feeling sympathy wanted to ignore the flaws in Obito and make Obito feel better in his last moments. It is an honourable thing to do in fact, despite the differences between them, Naruto overlooked this and showed mercy and respect to Obito. Naruto at the very least (also Kakashi) showed sympathy for Obito which no one else could.

How many forms need to be signed when renting a house, OMG this is just too much XD

    • Hi Shin Unit - July 31, 2014 at 12:23 pm #

I would have though not that many. Why? How many did you sign?

      • Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 12:35 pm #

I lost count. I went to an agency and signed one form. Then they started emailing a form one after the other after we finish one. I signed the first form back on the 30th of June.

    “Titus – July 30, 2014 at 6:19 pm #
Don’t see how it was done right, though. Constantly following the same linear pattern isn’t a good thing. Obito, or rather Tobi, had potential to be unique.
The rin obsession by itself isn’t what bothers people, Kara. It’s his hypocrisy over the matter. Started a war over a lost friend, apparently so as to lessen pain people suffer and bring about world peace. Yet kills thousands in the process causing even more pain, preaches against ideals and hopes, and vehemently tried to crush Naruto’s reality, while preaching of a better reality.
He was a bland and cliche villain through and through. Had so much more potential, his being Obito ruined it.”

@Titus: From the get-go Kishi has shown us that nearly all villains within Naruto follow a similar trend. They are all shinobi who have gone down the wrong path because of a certain circumstance and that is something Naruto is trying to fight against. I’m surprised you’ve failed to realise that.

There are number of villains within anime/manga whose ideals contradict their very actions. But if you look closely, they are actually self-obsessed beings who only care about themselves and fulfilling their own desires. The ideals they preach to others is to merely mask their selfishness and to justify their actions. This was the very same with Obito. He started a war, caused people to die for the sake of “peace”. However, when Kishi showed us his memories they were centered around Rin. From this, we can infer that Obito was doing all this to selfishly achieve his own desire to be with Rin. I didn’t think it was that difficult to understand.

    • Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 12:36 pm #

That is an interesting perspective you have there.

      • Titus - July 31, 2014 at 3:56 pm #

It’s not that I didn’t understand it… It was actually my whole point…

Like I said in the very second sentence of the point you quoted. Constantly following the same pattern isn’t a good thing. That Kishi has been following this trend from the beginning doesn’t contradict anything I’ve been saying, and actually backs the point I’ve been trying to make…

Didn’t realize my writing was that cryptic…

What’s even the point of this first sentence on your second point? Is it that since it’s a common cliche even in other series that I should get used to it? Or maybe some straw man argument such as “yeah but manga x is guilty of the same thing so your criticism is invalid”? Either way, has no actual bearing on what I said. Just… out of curiosity, how did you expect this to prove my statement that Obito is cliche is wrong?

It’s not difficult to understand at all, just pretty irrelevant to the point I was making…

None of what you’re saying actually contradicts my view of how Obito acts as a character… Just offers your own perspective as to why he acts this way, as if it’s supposed to justify something…

      • Hi Shin Unit - July 31, 2014 at 4:55 pm #

I understood what you were saying, however, I was merely trying to point out that the Kishi follows the same linear pattern with just about every villain for a specific reason. I can understand why you wouldn’t like that since you want originality between the antagonists. However, from the get-go with Zabuza and Haku, Kishi showed us that many of those who are bad is because of the circumstances Shinobis are plunged into and it is that very thing Naruto is trying to fight against (after all, he is a Shinobi with circumstances comparable to the antagonists). Because of that, it only makes sense for most of the antagonists to follow that trend. Now, whether you like it or not is something that is up to your personal taste, however, it is something I believe must come to accept if you want to thoroughly enjoy the manga and the antagonists we see.

That was merely a general comment about the contradiction between an antagonists actions and the beliefs they preach to others and how Obito is one of many antagonists to have done this. Whether you or anyone else likes it or not is a completely different matter. However, I wasn’t trying in anyway to dispute “Obito is a clichéd character” (sorry, if it came across wrong) because I do believe he is a clichéd character. What I was disputing was this bit:
“The rin obsession by itself isn’t what bothers people, Kara. It’s his hypocrisy over the matter. Started a war over a lost friend, apparently so as to lessen pain people suffer and bring about world peace. Yet kills thousands in the process causing even more pain, preaches against ideals and hopes, and vehemently tried to crush Naruto’s reality, while preaching of a better reality.”
You mention people (not completely sure if you include yourself in this) dislike Obito for his actions and his preaching contradicting one another. I merely disputed that at a glance it may seem that is the case (as is the case with many other antagonists), however, what Obito preaches to Naruto and co doesn’t match up with his true desire (Rin). In other words, IMO, his preaching was done to justify his actions but in reality he was attempting to achieve his own selfish dream of reuniting with Rin.

I accidentally quoted the last sentence of Obito being clichéd. I wasn’t trying to dispute this.

      • Titus - July 31, 2014 at 5:27 pm #

See, that’s something common with anybody… Circumstances may alter the path they take for anybody… Their having circumstances that lead them onto a certain path has nothing to do with their originality.. Me saying they’re unoriginal because they have circumstances that plunge them into the life they lead as a shinobi would be the same as my saying they’re unoriginal for speaking the same language.. That’s not my point..

Zabuza and Haku were great antagonists. Orochimaru used to be an amazing villain. Even most of the Akatsuki members were pretty great and original.

Obito’s not the same as them. The guy’s almost a perfect copy of Nagato, and his actually turning out to be Obito set him up that way. His having a personal connection with the protagonist doomed him to be defeated by that same cliche talk no jutsu most people are tired of seeing by now.

Guess I kinda see your point there… In the end, was his obsession over Rin… His philosophy was just his trying to justify his selfishness…

      • Sakanade - July 31, 2014 at 7:03 pm #

With that much time and talk invested in Obito was it unpredicted that he fell victim to talk-no-jutsu? Does it seem now that, at retrospect, he deserved death ratherthan to be saved by Naruto? Is the decision not to kill Nagato for his crimes not present when accounting for another criminal as Obito?

      • Hi Shin Unit - July 31, 2014 at 7:37 pm #

@Titus: Ah, I see. So you were talking about Obito being a carbon copy of Nagato? I assumed you meant he follows a similar pattern to all the villains we’ve seen in Naruto. My bad. Well, I can’t argue that Obito is practically a tracing of Nagato with the exception being Nagato was actually seeking “peace” in the form of the Infinite Tsukuyomi while Obito only desired Rin. That obsession of his truly degraded his character which a shame. Well, the last chapter did go some IMO in salvaging his character.

As for talk-no-jutsu, Naruto is seeking to destroy this cycle of hate which continues to bring about destruction and death. In the end, Kishi needed a weapon/jutsu Naruto could use which broke him away from the cycle of hatred. And Kishi’s answer to it was talk-no-jutsu. Personally, I don’t mind it and can understand why Kishi resorts to it. However, I can see why people are bored of it since it is overused.

      • Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 10:48 pm #

Nagato was a prototype test dummy for Obito’s character.

Obito was the original concept but Nagato was thrown midway in to bridge the transition into the Obito archetype villain.

Looks like Japan is on the move soon, they are coming to shut down piracy sites.

I really hope we can still get a hold of anime/manga easily. Yeah I am sort of against piracy (although I am a bit of a hypocrite for that) but I am also against lack of availability or extorting a unique selling point in a monopolistic competition which is something Japanese companies tend to do with all their exclusive rights and intellectual property.

    • Sakanade - July 31, 2014 at 3:36 pm #

You have to look it from their point of view to comprehend.

Piracy might be impossible to stop.

As long as there is the great ‘nation’ China then personally piracy can’t be stopped easily so they try but can’t say much just feel sorry for them

      • Sinbadass - August 2, 2014 at 11:49 am #

There are Chinese companies who sell manga legally. So it hurts Chinese businesses which isn’t in the government’s interest.

About Kakashis face, i just hope its something he drew or had idea of when he created the character very early instead of drawing it for the first time now and first revealing it. Because its just a face that has no meaning unless he, for example, adds in a statement its an old idea. The face itself will be totally new to us, and its not a shock-factor, i can’t see how Naruto, Sasuke, or Sakura will be shocked, and it was wrong that Obito died without seeing Kakashi’s face. And we don’t really know why hides it, atleast Obito should have known.

Damn since Kaguya stepped on the scene, Sasuke with all this power has yet to touch the heifer, managed to get trapped in another dimension and comes back trying to call shots. Yes, Naruto has held her at bay, surprised her, punched the sh@t out of her and tricked her and managed to cut her arm off. You can’t tell me my boi NARUTO aint bad!!!!!

  11. Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 10:53 pm #

YES SASUKE GETS HIS OWN MANGA, this might actually be funnier than Rock Lee’s series.

  12. Sinbadass - July 31, 2014 at 11:03 pm #

Fuck Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and the DBZ games, been playing One Piece Unlimited World Red and this game shits on both franchises. Naruto=copy/paste, DBZ=copy/paste/edit textures.

Bleach Soul Ressurrecion would have been like One Piece Unlimited World Red if only they had a bigger budget. One Piece appears to actually have a quality title. The Pirate Warriors games can’t be bad either.

Now I just have to hope this game isn’t quick to complete and has a good amount of playtime and dungeons to explore, then it’ll be up there in my favourite games on ps3.

-_- comparing a new franchise with an old or
They have to stick to a certain formula
Didn’t see people complaining with the old naruto mate games
With storm games , higher production value , decent online battles and really engaging story boss battles you just have franchise fatigue bro

      • Sinbadass - August 1, 2014 at 10:10 am #

        No mate I don’t.

There is too much copy/paste and milking now. Remember how much different Storm 2 was to Storm 1, although they got rid of the good free roam from Storm 1 and all the good mini games.

They don’t have multiplayer hack and slash after many games and their ball collecting game specifies one player vs CPU. Apparently the programmers in CC2 are so bad they don’t know how to create a multiplayer. No great gimmicks since Storm 1, all the technical stuff was already around.

Also old Naruto games suck. The franchise became big when Storm 2 came out. The free roam in Naruto games suck, One Piece has a way better free roam which is just like Storm 1 but even better because there is more you can do.

One Piece shits on the Naruto and DBZ franchises. The latter are taking advantage of their brand too much that they only try to deliver a certain quality rather than make something that can be as respected as a Final Fantasy game or another ambitious series. They release a game every year like FIFA which is gross. How can anyone defend that. I have other games I want to play, not the same old shit rebranded every year with a few new things. Yeah like Shisui, Mecha Naruto or Obito with some anime scenes are enough to convince me…

      • Sinbadass - August 1, 2014 at 10:12 am #

The budget for Storm games aren’t all that high. They only create character models and limited landscapes. There are more landscapes in other games. Tales of Xillia for example has infinitely more landscapes.

Naruto is mostly just a confined area, furthermore most are copy/pasted so the budget for the game is actually low.

      • Sinbadass - August 1, 2014 at 10:13 am #

the voice acting is decent though. They put more into that.

Although I wonder why they don’t license the anime soundtrack for the games. The game music is boring

Another thing when Naruto said he thinks obito is cool, hes not referring to his fake self hiss tobi persona, he is referring to the real obito , the one who died and protected his friends, the one who wanted to be hokage

  15. Sinbadass - August 1, 2014 at 5:13 pm #

Panther Lily!!! Thinking about waifus, so out of character.

Gajeel and Natsu owning some fodder scrub like usual. It doesn’t look like this arc will last long now tbh, although I wonder when Oracien Seis will do stuff.
