The expectations are running wild. Ji’s gonna have a field day when the hype gets crushed next week with a lame ass power up.

    • Shinigami - Sama - February 25, 2016 at 4:37 pm #

Power up. any “power” urahara is shown to have is not an asspull or a power up. the vice captains n lieutenants was asspull and power ups that did not make sense but yourichi n urahara is a different matter especially Urahara since he has always been a mystery.

      • Shinigami - Sama - February 25, 2016 at 4:38 pm #

askin on the other hand will continue with new attacks n abilities – that i am certain.

      • Tomodachi - February 25, 2016 at 4:42 pm #

Since Urahara is a mystery, he can come up with more obscure power ups. But rest assured it’s a Shihoin Family Treasure that’s going to defeat Askin.

    • Zoroman - February 26, 2016 at 12:47 pm #

It reminds me of captain commander bankai. Not as sexy but just larger.

  2. Tomodachi - February 25, 2016 at 4:36 pm #

Anyone else here thinks Askin was poorly characterised in this chapter? He went against his usual mannerisms. He is inflicting micro wounds on Urahara and is thinking of killing him slowly, when all this while he had been wanting to get it over with.

    v. Oetsu = Lowered the LD that it would’ve killed Oetsu if not for Tenjiro

    v. Grimmjow = Gave him a Gift Bad and finished his case. Now Grimmjow is MIA

    v. Ichigo = Finished him off and was talking to an almost unconscious Ichigo.

    v. Yushiro = One Gift Bad and made him hit the tarmac

    v. Yoruichi = Got her on her knees and was about to land finishing blow

But v. Urahara he chose to damage his EYE instead of say Brain or Heart.

Right from the very beginning when he meets Mayuri, Askin had been wanting to finish things off easily or with least effort. This fight has changed his behaviour.

That and I would’ve loved to see Base/Shikai Urahara give it some more effort before going Bankai.

Overall, I must say, I’m disappointed in this chapter per se but not in the number of possibilities this gives rise to.

Not everyone can handle schtuzafel vollstandig with shikai like lord Kyoraku

    • Trox - February 26, 2016 at 7:24 am #

You’re right he does behave a bit out of character, but he himself explains why.
He seems to think that his regular Deathdealing powers won’t be enough to finish of Urahara, so he needs to make an effort killing him.

      • Tomodachi - February 27, 2016 at 9:53 am #

I’m perfectly fine with him going Vollstandig. What I don’t dig is the means he uses to win after he has used Hasshein. He has been shown to take out opponents swiftly and now he’s back to damaging Urahara’s eyes instead of Brain/Heart.

        • Don duck - March 9, 2016 at 6:43 am #

Maybe it was supposed to hit his brain but couldn’t make it through his reiatsu.

    BLEACH 「ブリーチ ネタバレ」 664: Urahara’s Bankai is Revealed

WOAH! Holy shit, it finally happened… Like, WTF I for one didn’t see this coming at all! For real, I never thought I would have EVER seen his Bankai, especially this quickly. Let’s fucking go nigga, no buildup whatsoever. Regardless of what I believe the outcome will be I sadly must give Kubo this… This is probably the best Bankai reveal this entire arc. It just happened, that’s how a Bankai reveal is supposed to happen. No stupid ass dialogue from Kisuke just so that he can cryptically (not really) build up to him saying Bankai on the final page. The simplicity of the reveal is what was key.

How many years has it taken to see this shit happen… Bleach Chapter 664 Kisuke’s Bankai along is hype, no doubt. The mystery man, has finally used his Bankai and it makes sense because Askin is fucking retardedly hax. This isn’t Shunsui who’s the fucking captain commander, and he wasted his Bankai on the guy who might have been the 5th strongest person in the group at the time. Now let’s get into the meat and potatoes.

Kubo’s fetish for eyes, to be more specific eye violence is unsettling for starters. How many times is someone gonna lose their eye, get attacked in the eye, fucking dialogue about an eye, etc. Chill with the eyes Kubo, this shit is creepy now. Askin is so fucking hax that I can not see this fight ending without some bullshit taking place. If Kubo doesn’t fuck this up (which he most likely will), it’ll be a sign that the end times are nigh.

Yoruichi is solved, her brother is face down ass up in some fucking corner, and all that’s left is Kisuke… Lord knows, I fear for this man. And for fuck’s sake Kubo, can we have one fight without expository dialogue? The only people who really give a fuck are people who power gauge and the fucking wikia. We don’t need five panels worth of info, quit adding so much fluff to these chapters. I know you want to hit your target pages, but enough is enough.

We find out that Askin is the biggest dickrider since the likes of Orihime, or maybe even the true lord of dickriding Leim’s, maybe even his faggot friend Ganja. This leads to the one good part, which is the reveal of the Bankai. THE ENTIRE reveal of the Bankai was done RIGHT, and LOGICALLY he is the ONLY person who makes sense when it comes to defeating Askin. Kubo’s lack of creating imaginative Bankai’s is funny. Like jesus fucking christ, nearly every Bankai has been a large _. Bigger isn’t better, you should know that by now with all the complaints about these large ass images with a small amount of dialogue taking up the majority of the page *cough* *cough* page 8 (mangastream) *cough* cough*.

Large demon, large bitch, etc. Now Kubo, this is fucking Kisuke Urahara, don’t Kyoraku him. I know, not doing the wrong thing goes against everything you stand for, but don’t… Just don’t. Save me the time so that I don’t have to shit on a chapter. Still stupid that it took this long, but at least he gives enough of a fuck to go all out in a means to save the planet this time around.

      Movie Review: Deadpool

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and it’s not like I haven’t already dropped a review, so fuck it. I have an opinion, and it needs to be voiced… Not really, but yeah… I saw the brand new Deadpool film not too far back. Now, as some may need I have at least a basic level of knowledge across most commonly known comics, Deadpool falls into that category. It’s not extensive compared to my knowledge of other comics, but it’s a little higher than Daredevil level which means my knowledge of him from a comic standpoint is a notch above decent.

So if there’s anything in this film that would extensively offend someone who’s a diehard fan of the comics, I wouldn’t fucking know nor would I would stand it or why you feel _ type of way. Wit that being said let’s get into the movie… Deadpool is exactly what I thought it would be and it’s exactly what it should have been. It was a nice action flick in reality. For comictards who jacked off to this film they probably view it as a 10, but across the entire spectrum of movies it’s not a 10.

It is however an enjoyable time, which is something I can’t say about most films. This is a GENUINELY funny and exciting movie. And I think the scriptwriters and the editors did a HELL of a job, because this movie has nice pacing. This movie couldn’t succeed as a dull superhero film, and thanks to their efforts it wasn’t. Ryan Reynolds is going to get a WELL DESERVED payday for this film, and the people behind marketing deserve a bonus as well.

As a action flick, it’s pretty fucking good but when compared to all movies I’d say hold that extremely high rating. This film visually is kind of dull, from a filmmaking perspective it does nothing new. There’s simply nothing to marvel at, every scene is flat, angles are practically non existent, it’s just pretty basic filmmaking. The sound quality was great where I saw the film, aspect ratio was fine, but yet again visually it was just dull and nothing popped as well. The only thing that popped was Deadpool because of the contrast of his fantastic looking suit, compared to the monotone colors that are predominantly used in this film.

Another thing is that the story is about as thin as a sheet of paper. When I think of the story, I think of absolutely nothing because it was just that lacking to be quite honest. Although that is fine, because of the way the film is meant to be. This isn’t supposed to have a super extensive storyline, nor is it supposed to put together/pull a entity into a inclusive universe so I cut it slack, but if you’re giving 8’s, 9’s, 10’s just know that’s a part of the criteria for those high rated films. Overall I’d recommend it, I think it’s a very enjoyable movie, and when I came back I didn’t feel slighted.

If anything if you care about film and if you want to see something new when as it pertains to films being made, go see this movie. The more hollywood knows we like seeing new shit that pushes the envelope, the better. Now the downside is every obscure superhero now has a possibility of getting its own movie, but shit it’s not like Superhero movies aren’t already a saturated market.

Hey G what do you think the bankai power will involve? I agree with eye fetish. Most monsters in bleach have fucked up eyes too.

  5. legendary - February 25, 2016 at 9:27 pm #

The most anticipated bankai prior to this Arc in this order….Yamamoto no description needed he is clearly the strongest character in the history of bleach, next Aizen…although we will probably never see his bankai…the most OP zanpakto in bleach history….shinsui the most mysterious bankai because of his crazy shikai abilities….urahara..the most mysterious character in all of bleach believed to rival aizen in power…and last Shinji….he’s curiously strong and has an interesting zanpakto…..honorable mention goes to hisagi..the yamcha of bleach

  6. Lol - February 25, 2016 at 11:21 pm #

Truth tot be told, this chapter with it’s typcal tacky dialogue and waste of panels, as cosom-bruh mentioned the reveal of the bankai and the sudden change of pace that gave that oldskool Bleach feeling, is one of the best releases in a good 200+ chapters. Actually this duality of abstraction and absence is one of bleach’ prime ingrediënts that lure’s tot a bromance. This chapter reminded me of the first time reveal of Senbonsakura Kageyoshi against Abarai, only in the wrong story setting. All in all the artwork gave that oldskool feeling, which brings me to a 8/10, inclus. Something that was planned.

  7. Noremac - February 26, 2016 at 5:16 am #

Um….is Hell not canon? They keep saying Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and Living World will disappear. Either it’s not affected or they just don’t care about it.

Bleach Hell is kubo’s trashcan or his recycle bin.

    • - - February 26, 2016 at 1:34 pm #

we are probably the the problem; believing hell is a physical domain in Bleachverse. It’s probably just an occursnce where souls who aren’t allowed to reincarnate are purged then and there. Sort of like a calamity akin to the sweeper within the dangai

  8. - - February 26, 2016 at 1:45 pm #

Askin backed out at the first thought of fighting Mayuri but is perfectly fine with taking on Urahara..

Continuing his odd behaviour of choosing opponents I wonder if Kubo wants to give the impression Mayuri really is the most dangerous of the geniuses.

The conversation was really telling too. Urahara believes Mayuri would be interested in seeing the world to come once Yhwach destroys the current only if it’s in his own image..

This is stated just after we learn Mayuri’s ambitions to supersede God as a creator..

    • - - February 26, 2016 at 1:57 pm #

say Yhwach is killed whilst he isn’t the almighty..
and Mayuri emerges with new genetic alterations having had assimilated remnants of pernida..
effectively turning himself into another apendage of the soul king..
having decided his next step after the success that is nemu is recreating the world in his own image..
becomes the new, new soul king..

      • - - February 26, 2016 at 1:59 pm #

        Naaahhhh

no self respecting villain would ressurect Litsugaya

    • Shinigami - sama - February 26, 2016 at 2:01 pm #

Nah, he knows what kind of Man mayuri is and that he would like it but Urahara doesn’t care for that shit. Kubo has given us evidence of Urahara being the superior one since the start so going the other way now would be ludicrous.

      • - - February 26, 2016 at 2:14 pm #

I don’t believe so.. Urahara is a genius but he was beaten to the answer that is the hogkoyo by Aizen. These 3 all have unethical creations and their research isn’t all that alike.

They can be compared as to who is better as they’re methods are all very different. Mayuri wanted to surpass Urahara with the answer he came to – creating life capable of evolution.

Aizen wanted to tear down the boundary between hollow and shinigami.. Urahara it seems was just curious and unknowingly completed Aizen’s research for him.

I think we should all remember Mayuri was confined to the Maggot’s nest where those deemed to be threats to the Soul Society are sent. We have yet to know why and what his ideas were.

I imagine Mayuri’s past is going to be very important, much more than Urahara’s. Aizen on the other hand is a wild card.

    • MmmSaviorPandaGodRemix - February 26, 2016 at 7:18 pm #

Well, we haven’t seen Urahara modify his own body, which is why I think Ask backed out of a bout with Mayuri. He’s been shown to have done all kinds of shit to his own bahdy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was protected from Naks poison balls. Hell he probbly would have been.

    • Blackzilla - February 26, 2016 at 8:18 pm #

I think the reason the Askin Nak levarr backed out of fighting Mayuri is simple:

At that time he was on enemy territory, his side was on offense, and they were outnumbered by the enemy. so it was more of a tactical retreat.he was just being a diversion while Juha and Haschwalth do their thing. You don’t wanna fight someone like mayuri in his domain where he has access to all his toys and gadgets.

Now that he has homecourt advantage, He engages Urahara because he has no choice, these aren’t weaklings, he can’t just turn a blind eye to urahara, yoroichi, ichigo & Co progressing towards the primary Objective: Juha Bach. All the other bad guys are currently engaged in fighting so at this point he doesn’t get to choose his enemies he has to engage whoever is making progress towards Juha.

    • Gyon - February 27, 2016 at 4:32 am #

Kubo plot weapon is dream awakening. Kubo is on some inception stuff.

      • Gyon - February 27, 2016 at 4:35 am #

What if it was all a vision…in the future. Kubo might be on some twilight stuff after all then.

      • Gyon - February 27, 2016 at 4:37 am #

The point is too many cool characters have lost their dignity.

        • Gyon - February 27, 2016 at 1:58 pm #

And one the way if there is any is to use such a plot twist to fix his story. It would still be seen as a failure by most though because some past event can’t never be truly fixed, it can be erased but nevertheless it has happened.

    • Tomodachi - February 27, 2016 at 9:51 am #

Askin backed off then because there were others who could probably cover for him and because he had a choice. Now he doesn’t. He has to stop more people from getting to Yhwach.

  9. Tomodachi - February 27, 2016 at 9:55 am #

I must say the fault rests on the reader base for hoping side characters are going to get really big fights. People expected Urahara/Kyoraku v. Haschwalth. Now I realise how wrong we were. The Schutzstaffel have been more than a match for the elite Captains.

  10. Tomodachi - February 27, 2016 at 12:21 pm #

This Fame doesn’t know when to stop hyping. Kyoraku’s Bankai got wrecked and he said “He has two swords Flower god and Heavenly demon. The second stage of his Bankai is going to be lit.” I got hyped. Kyoraku got owned. Nanao got her Zanpakuto and Lille got the L. Now he’s hyping Mayuri. Stop misguiding people man XD

    • Gyon - February 27, 2016 at 2:05 pm #

Fame aside, how differently would you have written it? Especially if you were aiming for originality in your works.

      • Tomodachi - February 27, 2016 at 5:00 pm #

I would’ve given all the major captains their individual fights, for starters. I would’ve made sure that the power levels were kept intact. I wouldn’t have used Deus ex Machina. I would’ve planned my Bankais from the start. I wouldn’t have had power ups that squarely even out against each other instead of them being neutral and the character finding loopholes to exploit. I would’ve ensured that most of the major characters’ actions actually mattered.

Clearly none of this is happening. And finally, I shouldn’t have to provide alternate scenarios to be able to critique other works.

        • Pirate King - February 27, 2016 at 6:18 pm #

    Pretty good chapter.

    URAHARA’S BANKAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Urahara isn’t using his Bankai against as worthy of a character as I would like. Not that Askin is a bad character. Although he’s the best character amongst the Sternritters so far, he’s not a great character either though. At least Urahara is using his Bankai, though. It actually looks pretty awesome so far as well. I would like to have seen Urahara fight more using his base abilities before using his Bankai as well, but given that he’s fighting a top tier character it makes sense that he’s using Bankai already. The characterization in this chapter isn’t great, but better than it has been in most chapters in The Thousand Year Blood War Arc so far. Impressive abilities for both in this chapter. Very interesting name for Urahara’s Bankai. There are a lot of potentially interesting abilities that can be inspired by Buddhism.

    I give this chapter a 7/10.

  14. Tomodachi - February 29, 2016 at 6:32 am #

There’re some funny blokes over at Bleachasylum.

There was this guy who said that Base Zaraki would mid diff Base Ichibei. LMFAO Bruh.. Do you even power levels?

Ichibei is/was the strongest pure Shinigami ever. This guy casually manhandled Base Yhwach who effortlessly disposed off Zaraki.

While Nimaiya was thinking about how to attack Yhwach, this guy warded off Yhwach’s attacks in close range by flexing his muscles. He cut through Yhwach’s Blut Vene Anhaben.

Officially the most HAX shikai ever. It spills ink over you and you’re done.

How the fuck is Base Zaraki supposed to mid diff this monster?

    • jake - February 29, 2016 at 8:30 am #

Depends on what he means by “Base”. If he means just Zanjutsu (no shikai, bankai abilities) then Zaraki takes it easily.

If Ichibei is allowed to use Kido-like abilities then Ichibei probably slays Zaraki.

      • Tomodachi - February 29, 2016 at 8:45 am #

Even if Base is defined according the first definition, Ichibei takes it easy. His sealed Zanpakuto is a brush which spills ink. Zaraki would lose his strength exponentially. Ichibei’s strength is unlimited. He uses the power of all the Black that exists.

Ichibei’s ability in sealed/Shikai Zanpakuto are more than enough to take care of Zaraki.

        • jake - February 29, 2016 at 9:45 am #

Erm.. using the ink falls under the category of special abilities. What I meant is pure swordmanship. Nothing more nothing else.

So basically how I see it is if there was a hypothetical battle between Ichibei and Zaraki based on pure swordmanship (No Kido, No Hakuda, No special abilities), Ichibei would have to kill Zaraki with a brush which is well, impossible imo.

I doubt that anyone apart from Unohana / Oetsu could beat Zaraki in a pure sword duel 1v1.

If you wanna talk about using Shikai/Bankai abilities Zaraki doesn’t really stand a chance imo.

Although there is a theory that Nozarashi can “cut” anything. Based on that you could say that he could “cut” the ink before it reaches him. Even if that’s the case though Ichibei has much more in his arsenal to put Zaraki down.

Ichibei beats Zaraki 99 times out of 100 imo.

        • Tomodachi - February 29, 2016 at 10:24 am #

Sealed = Cuts name (snubs the power) *BASE*
Shikai = Erases name (makes you powerless)
Bankai = Gives new name (gives you a new power)

So if base means that Ichimonji can’t even cut the name in its brush form, then Zaraki takes it. If it’s able to cut the name, then Ichibei wins.

If base = pure swordsmanship skills, then Zaraki takes it. Now I get it.

    • Leptor - February 29, 2016 at 11:32 pm #

I don’t know man, I agree with you on a lot of things, but I respectfully disagree with your interpretation of Oshou vs. Juha. Oshou eventually had to use Bankai to get Juha to use more than his Base abilities (if we define Base Juha as The Almightyless Juha). If Oshou could have done the same while in Base the incredible combined power up of Shikai and Bankai should have put him on a similar level of power as a fully powered Juha, if not higher.

As for Kenpachi vs. Juha, that was Pre Muken Kenpachi. I’m sure that the person is referring to Current Base Kenpachi. If not then I agree that Base Oshou defeats Pre Muken Kenpachi, although I still respectfully disagree with your interpretation of Oshou vs. Juha as well as your opinion that Oshou is the most powerful Shinigami. I believe that Yamamoto is more powerful than Oshou, although it’s not unreasonable to disagree with that.

      • Tomodachi - March 1, 2016 at 4:54 am #

IMO, Ichibei’s “Bankai” isn’t like the conventional Bankai where you use it to give you more power/strength/attacks. Ichibei’s Shikai is the most important form of his Zanpakuto. He could’ve left Yhwach nameless and be done with it, but he chose to use “Shin’uchi” to give him a new power. So what I’m saying is that Ichibei going Shikai is comparable to regular captains going Bankai.

Another reason is that I believe Ichibei’s Shin’uchi and Bankai are different. I mean he’s the person that named everything in SS. So why would he use one instead of the other? If I’m right, then all the RGs have another fight ahead of them and that is where we’ll see their actual Bankais.

There is a point of contention whether Ichibei’s ink would reach Yamamoto. I say it does, but the other side of it seems quite valid too. The reason behind my answer is that I believe his ink isn’t the usual liquid ink but a manifestation of the “Black” from which he draws his power. This is another major reason I would say that the power levels in Bleach are broken. If we assume them to be what they are literally, then Vollstandig Lille becomes exponentially stronger than Yamamoto.

Well, I mean, Yoruichi states that Bankai increases one’s power by 5 to 10 times and nothing about Oshou’s Bankai leads me to believe otherwise. It’s unique I know, but as powerful as his Shikai is what his Bankai can do is even more insane.

The main reason Juha won is because of his ability to take others’ abilities for his own in a sense, something he could have done to Shikai Oshou as well.

Lille’s abilities are insane, but Yamamoto doesn’t necessarily need to connect any physical techniques to defeat him.

What Yoruichi stated was among the first few chapters. She also stated that RG are especially meant to fight Menos class hollows. But as we see later on, Captain class shinigami can handle even the Espadas. The Shin’uchi only gave him the new ability to give new powers AFTER powers had already been taken away by his Shikai. So how exactly is it more insane than his Shikai. The way I see it, it is merely an extension of his Shikai (which is also perfectly corroborated by True Strike)

Ichibei in any form draws his power from all the Black. Yhwach did take his powers away, but it still bends to the whim of Ichibei. That’s what makes him strong.

Lille’s abilities are very confusing. He’s said to phase through everything, yet Shunsui’s Act III cuts him easily. Reiatsu threads are obviously reiatsu. Kido is also Reiatsu. When Zangerin couldn’t cut him, how did Act III? Both Lille’s and Shunsui’s abilities weren’t explained clearly, IMO.

Did Ichibei’s Zanpakuto come first or did Oetsu’s come first? Because as shown, Ichibei used his Shirafude Ichimonji to name objects.

So what I’m guessing is that Ichibei is a one off Shinigami who just got a Zanpakuto and Oetsu started manufacturing them a bit later.

    • jake - February 29, 2016 at 9:58 am #

Oetsu seems a lot younger which confuses a lot of people.

Imo when the Shinigami first appeared as a group led by Yamamoto, did NOT have zanpakutos as we know them now. They chose weapons like swords, maces etc and used them in battle fueling them with their Reiatsu.

When Oetsu came along he forged the Asauchi’s which take the form of a Zanpakuto after being fused with a Shinigami’s soul.

So I side with the people that say Oetsu is indeed the owned of the first Zanpakuto. He may have done so and then give Asauchis to the other Shinigami as well.

IMO, Ichibei and Oetsu are two of the oldest Shinigami in the same order. While Ichibei honed his skills and invented techniques to give new names, Oetsu invented something that was given its name by Ichibei who already had mastered his ability.

Also contrary to popular belief, I would say that those two were already made RG by the time G13 was even constituted. The other 3 RGs were recruited at a later stage.

I agree with the above statement.

I seriously pity those people who had hoped that either Kyoraku or Urahara would fight Haschwalth. The Kyoraku fan base had a better shot because of all the interaction between him and Haschwalth. But Kubo had other plans LMFAO

    • blackcoc - February 29, 2016 at 11:23 am #

kyoraku didnt even beat the pigeon head.

in his defense Who the heck grows another head baack when you cut it…

=))=))=))))))))) that is a good one =))), big like for the joke ( if it was intended as a joke ) :))

I thought that Kyoraku vs. Haschwalth was a possibility, but only if Haschwalth defeated Kyoraku. I doubted that Kyoraku was going to be powerful enough to defeat Haschwalth and considering that he’s only around the level of Juha’s elite guards it seems that Haschwalth is indeed more powerful than Kyoraku.

Urahara vs. Haschwalth seemed like one of the most likely main fights for Urahara, but Urahara vs. Askin makes sense as well. I would like to have seen Urahara’s main fight be with a more worthy character than either Sternritter, but power wise Haschwalth and Juha’s elite guards make sense.

      • Tomodachi - March 1, 2016 at 4:56 am #

The system of Elite Guards seems like something Kubo made up half way through. The captains fell like dominos and there were too many sternritters. So Auschwahlen. Now there were too many Shinigami, so make the SS overpowered. Just seems like shitty writing to me.

That overpowered SS was overpowered by Quincy..
Quincy was overpowered by SS’ vice captains..

Damn! That was ambiguous. I meant Schutzstaffel by SS, not Soul Society.
