Yhawch is acting like Neo from Toriko two-three chapters back.

Ichigo’s bankai was so frightening to Juha he had to break it. Maybe when Juha absorbs Ichigo, he’ll be a virus and kill him. Too much despair…

Well…that was a terrible chapter of Bleach LOL

    But Ywach is beastly though

I like the explanation he gave for the power All Mighty. Honestly felt that was the best part of the chapter. The rest was meh imo.

c’mon! It’s the best chapter ever!

      I laughed so much!

      • Samuelle - June 16, 2016 at 8:58 pm #

        Coronation street was better

ahah, you’ve got no sense of humour! :-P

..just kidding, I like the fact Ichigo’s brand new bankai was owned in such a spectacular way, and with no chance for him to restore it back to its previous power level. I find that both ironic and amusing. It’s maybe the first time that there are real not-reversible consequences in Bleach?

    This definitely requires Aizen sama

Remember when Juha Bach personally seek out Aizen…he acknowledges that Aizen’s ability is the most effective counter to his Almighty – you can’t transform a future you can’t perceive.

      i like this theory

Bach was right to destroy that bankai sword – it is fucking ugly and stupid looking – why not the long one with the swastika as a handguard – that thing was sexy

    An above average chapter.

I’m mixed on Ichigo’s Bankai being dispelled temporarily. It seemed strange for Ichigo to already use Bankai so Kubo can have Ichigo use Bankai later when he figures out a way around The Almighty, but it also makes Ichigo seem underwhelming in terms of power. Still, I’m glad that we’re getting more explanations on what The Almighty does. There seems to be a weakness to it, we just don’t know what it is yet. Still, from what we’ve seen so far, it’s a pretty amazing ability in terms of power. This puts Juha on a pretty high ranking in terms of power not just in Bleach but in Manga/Anime.

    I give this chapter a 3.6/10 (rounding to 4/10).

      Ichigo’s Zampakutou is gone forever.

Didn’t the guy who made the Assauchi say that Ichigo could fix his broken bankai only because what he broke the first time around wasn’t his true power?

Now he broke it a second time, there is no chance in hell that Kubo can reverse that.

      • jake - June 17, 2016 at 8:32 am #

unless Ichigo uses his Quincy powers to reforge it through manipulation of reishi.

        • Roby - June 17, 2016 at 11:06 am #

          Is that even possible?

I don’t think it was ever mentioned before.

Except for Orihime using her special power to refute reality of his Inner Juchabach to create a future in which the sword is not broken, I think Kubo cornered himself for good this time.

Unless, of course, he is willing to pull a lame plot twist.

        • jake - June 18, 2016 at 1:04 pm #

Quincies can materialize weapons through such means and since Ichigo is a Quincy I’d say it might be possible. I dunno I am just throwing out ideas.

        • Roby - June 18, 2016 at 10:26 pm #

What’s the difference among the power of materialising weapons of Quincies and that of fullbringers? I thought only the latter ones had it.

        • MmmSaviorPandaGodRemix - June 19, 2016 at 11:05 pm #

@roby Quincies materialize weapons from reishi whereas fullbringers transmute weapons from an object, such as Tsukishimas book mark or the boots of that lady.

I have no idea how Ywach is going to be defeated or how Ichigo’s going to fix his zanpaktou

I enjoyed the chapter(i usually don’t comment on the ones i thought were meh). For me the chapter is a culmination of the Hype that Kubo has been building for Juha Bach. at the end of the chapter I was sitting there like, “well damn, what the hell is ichigo gonna do now?”. I would like to leave you with an an analogy for how Kubo has built Juha Bach’s Hype this Arc. The analogy is a Tsunami:

    1. First event preceding a Tsunami is an earthquake – this is analogous to Juha Bach arriving at soul society, killing Captain Commander, wrecking soul Society then leaving. As his shinigami opponents you probably say to yourself, “that was bad, surely the worst is over”

    2. The tide starts to go out – This is the warning that a tsunami is coming. This is analogous to all the sternritter during their fights telling the shinigami that they have no idea what they are up against, that they are underestimating Juha Bach and are gonna get wrecked

    3. Warning Siren goes out to get to high ground – This is Haschwalth vs Ichida hinting that there is more to Juha’s Power than we think, and when he reveals it he is wrecking everything in his way.

    4. You get to high ground – This is Ichigo and to a lesser extent everyone else improving their skills and oiwers in order to Fight and defeat Juha Bach.

    5. The Wave hits – Finally Juha vs Ichigo and Co where Juha wrecks shit and Ichigo is realizing that his newfound power may not be enough (they are not high enough to face the tsunami that is Juha’s power) and once again he is faced with despair.

  10. blackzilla - June 17, 2016 at 5:00 am #

Also, I didn’t like the design of ichigo’s bankai at first but it is growing on me, I like how the shorter black sword forms the inner portion while the larger black sword forms the outer portion.

  11. blackzilla - June 17, 2016 at 5:03 am #

one last thing. I liked that Juha recognizes the power of ichigo’s bankai and is afraid of it (think of the dream he had where he was cut). I think that was a vision of the future and not a dream. This is why he is so aggressive in trying to destroy ichigo’s bankai before he can use it.

  12. The Brak - June 17, 2016 at 4:51 pm #

I got a theory ichigo already used bankai. Juha thinks he broke it.

    • Roby - June 17, 2016 at 5:36 pm #

You mean that everyone – including us – is under the spell of Aizen-Chair-Sama?

      • The Brak - June 17, 2016 at 7:33 pm #

        Probably would be sick

      • Samuelle - June 17, 2016 at 7:56 pm #

I thought everyone was under the control of panda?

        • Roby - June 18, 2016 at 10:27 pm #

The Panda is all knowing, all powerful and all present. Or something of that line. lol

        • MmmSaviorPandaGodRemix - June 19, 2016 at 11:18 pm #

          Close enough.

  13. jennatalia - June 19, 2016 at 3:27 am #

Kinda disappointed in this chapter. So much build up of Ichigo getting his bankai just to have it raped in front of him. It’s like watching GoT, but not as good.

    • MmmSaviorPandaGodRemix - June 19, 2016 at 5:09 am #

Lool. Too bad you can’t upvote or like comments here, this one deserves it. The wait was three years, though it’s not even close to how Shunsui and Urahara got it, DP’d. I think this is the last proof we need that the bankai has little significance anymore.

    • jake - June 19, 2016 at 6:12 am #

The problem lies elsewhere imo. Kubo has made yet another mind blowing OP character where Ichigo could never ever defeat on his own unless some kind of ex-machina. I was so sure this was going to happen I didn’t even flinch while reading this chapter.

Ichigo has always been the brute force physical type. No special abilities and such. Therefore defeating Yhwach like that was a far cry from the beginning.

Either it will take the effort of more than just Ichigo to take Yhwach down with someone that has special kind of powers (Aizen, Tsukishima, Uryuu, the 2 Fathers etc) or Kubo will try an asspull again and give Ichigo another secret final op power just like FGT.
