This section is a good surprise! Tks!

I think the first round will end on this chapter.

    Good night

  4. LogicoftheVI - September 14, 2016 at 2:08 pm #

Very pleasant surprise to find this section here this morning. The battle is winding down I’m interested to see how Deku and Kacchan achieve their victories?

  5. LogicoftheVI - September 15, 2016 at 2:11 am #

An interesting turn of events at the end of the chapter. I’m very curious to see who this group being introduce is and what it means for U.A. specifically? I really the teamwork being shown by our main cast though I wish the side characters and other schools would get a little more attention overall. Good focus on the guy from the other school in this chapter but we’re down to 28 spots left. I really liked Kacchan’s groups portrayal this chapter as well. Good chapter overall, I’m really interested in seeing how many UA students pass and if there will be any surprise exceptions.

  6. Leptor - September 15, 2016 at 5:02 am #

    Good chapter.

Seiju’s Quirk is, well, somewhat disgusting. It’s somewhat creative as well, though. Certainly a unique Quirk. Bakugou’s strategy is interesting in this chapter. He’s not the type that uses a lot of strategy nor is he the type to care about his friends, but he did both in this chapter, which I like because I figured there was more to Bakugou’s character than what we’ve seen so far.

The Second Exam seems pretty unique and interesting. This Hero Exam is certainly unconventional, so I have to give Horikoshi props for that. Even more impressive is that they’re getting to The Second Exam and there has not yet been any invasion from The League Of Villains. I think that The League Of Villains have set up a new record.

    I give this chapter a 6.6/10 (rounding to 7/10).

“Bakugou’s strategy is interesting in this chapter. It’s been clear since before Kacchan was abducted that he actually cared for his friends in the class (especially Kirishima). What I took from this chapter is that even though Kacchan is an asshole he doesn’t get the credit he deserves because of it. People overlook the strategies he’s come up with and they think he doesn’t care about his friends when he does. I find the most evidence for him caring is telling Deku and the other not to come after him when he was abducted by the League of Villains. I never took it as him being prideful but as him trying to protect the others.

The second exam is going to be very interesting. I am getting a Chunnin exam arc type vibe from this arc now and definitely more than I did during the sports festival, but I doubt the league of Villains will be interrupting. They may find some new recruits from the ones who don’t make it especially if a lot (or all) of the U.A. students end up passing.

      • Leptor - September 16, 2016 at 2:02 am #

Oh I agree with you, I think that you misunderstood what I meant exactly, or perhaps I wasn’t as clear as I should have been. I’m referring to Bakugou’s outward characterization. Obviously I don’t think that he literally hates everyone, it’s just that he doesn’t usually so the side of him that does care about his friends. I do agree that the point of Kaminari’s statement was to highlight that Bakugou isn’t as much of a jerk as he comes off as sometimes.

        • Leptor - September 16, 2016 at 2:03 am #

*doesn’t usually show the side of him

  7. Kouhei - September 15, 2016 at 1:10 pm #

The chapter itself is slow and kinda boring, but the end got me hyped for the next. A weird group of old people and kids! Not a clue about what can happen.

Again, a super original quirk (meat). I don’t like the fact that all UA’s should pass. I hope the comment about it was to emphasize that a few may not get their licenses this time.

    6/10

Lmao. Not that’s a FUN n GREAT way to keep the match entertaining!!! Great chapter

      **now

    • Sane - September 18, 2016 at 5:55 pm #

I don’t get what they are supposed to do? They will probably act like they need help and then attack the heros while they are caught off guard.

  9. Great General Ri Shin - September 15, 2016 at 3:21 pm #

The Quirk that the author is thinking is really creative. Who would had thought about a food process Quirk?

There should be a ranking system later on to see

    • Great General Ri Shin - September 15, 2016 at 3:58 pm #

which quirk is S tier, A tier, B tier and so on.

      • Kouhei - September 15, 2016 at 5:42 pm #

I would like that. But it’s complicated, maybe isn’t possible to catalog and compare all quirks.

        • LogicoftheVI - September 16, 2016 at 1:33 pm #

I though that was going to be Deku since he had all his hero books. I kind of wish that he would focus on them still. I think it would really take him to the next level having all that information at his disposal. He would be able to think of new abilities and also be ready for certain situations. I think it would be a great way to make up for his lack of experience and strength early on in the series while making him hella OP later on.

  10. Kouhei - September 15, 2016 at 5:40 pm #

I wonder if U.A. has 2nd year students and if / when they’ll appear.

    • Pirate King - September 15, 2016 at 5:41 pm #

      Half more year mang time

      • Kouhei - September 15, 2016 at 5:46 pm #

I ment not from Aizawa’s class. Why did the tournament doesn’t showed the U.A. veterans (2nd year, 3rd year)? Is it a tournament just for freshman?

    • LogicoftheVI - September 16, 2016 at 1:31 pm #

I have been wondering what is up with the U.A. second year students as well. It would only make sense for them to have some so maybe they have already passed their License exams? I wonder about Eraserheads class in this scenario though?

      • Leptor - September 16, 2016 at 10:06 pm #

^That’s what I was thinking. I figured that they might just have their Hero Licenses already.

However, it’s a good point either way.

    • Sane - September 18, 2016 at 5:53 pm #

Good question. This manga still has so much potential to broaden the story and the characters. This is one of the many ways to do so. To introduce some awesome 2nd year students. Would be like Rock Lee and Neji.

  11. LogicoftheVI - September 16, 2016 at 8:35 pm #

I hope Tokoyami will get some focus in the next part of the license test.

    • Aizen - September 17, 2016 at 8:54 am #

Yes, I hope that as well. Besides the “might 3” he is the most interesting character and has an amazing ability. Imagine him having full control over his dark shadow at full power, that would ne op lol

      • LogicoftheVI - September 17, 2016 at 4:08 pm #

I can’t wait for him to gain full control. I wouldn’t even mind it taking a long time for that to happen just so long as we get to see his progression along the way. I love his character design and personality. He has been one of my favorites since his introduction even with limited screen time.

        • Aizen - September 17, 2016 at 11:26 pm #

I can agree with everything you say, sir :P

  12. Aizen - September 17, 2016 at 11:36 pm #

Since it’s the first time I see a BNHA section, I thought it would be appropriate to repost my review on it after catching with the manga! So if you haven’t read ist already, here you can read my opinion on every arc and some characters I gave about 2 weeks ago (first comment, long ass post lol :P)

    • Sane - September 18, 2016 at 5:59 pm #

So Bakugou is your favorite? Thats cool i guess. all might is my favorite. Dunno he just reminds me of Gai sensei a lot lol. After him i’d say my favorite is deku, simply because of his great development like you said, of being a cry baby to an awesome hero. Third is definitely Tokoyami.

      • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:23 pm #

Well All Might is just a fucking legend, so I don’t have to mention him additionally :P
He easily became one of my favourite manga characters of all time, which means All might > Bakougo for me :)

    • Leptor - September 19, 2016 at 2:26 am #

-I mostly agree. The League Of Villains are not yet around the same league of antagonist groups as The Espadas, The World Government, Akatsuki, Genei Ryodan, etc. IMO but they are one of the better antagonist groups in Manga/Anime with potential to be around the same league as those antagonist groups.

-Yeah, Dabi is likely my favorite character in The League Of Villains so far.

-I’m not a big fan of All For One in general, but One For All is one of my favorite sayings, so it’s pretty neat seeing All For One and One For All incorporated into Boku No Hero Academia.

-Yeah, I thought it was a little cheap to have them to not do the Todoroki vs. Bakugou match up in The Sports Festival Arc, but it’s not that big of a deal, and they might have a match up later on in the series.

Black Clover is great as well. I also recommend Magi: The Labyrinth Of Magic if you have not read/seen it yet. :p

      • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:27 pm #

Great that you agree. Yeah, like you said, the league of villains has potential, but still a long way to go.

And I caught up to Black Clover. Surprisingly good! Love the character designs and the medieval theme. Hyped for more

        • Leptor - September 19, 2016 at 8:32 pm #

Same. Anyone who knows me knows that I am passionate about The Middle Ages. The study of it, the settings, the culture, everything.

    • LogicoftheVI - September 19, 2016 at 5:00 pm #

      Favorite characters:
Tokoyami – I love his character design and personality. I really want to know more bout him and I would love to see him gain full control of his quirk.
Stain – I have always liked him since his introduction. Learning his reasons for fighting against the hero society reinforced why I liked his character.
Sensei aka All for One – This guys is just so damn OP.
Toga – She is crazy and sadistic. I really enjoy this type of female character in anime/manga
Deku – He’s an MC that I can ride with, I really like his personality and the way him being quirkless worked with the early parts of the story. I hope that his books for the future come into play in the story later on.
Todoroki – He’s a badass, cool, calm, and collected.
Kacchan – This guys has anti-hero written all over him. The author is doing a great job of making him just another hero though. His shitty personality has lead to some serious character development.

      • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:30 pm #

        For me it’s like this:

        All might > Bakougo > Stain > Deku >Todoroki = Tokoyami > All for one> Kirishima

  13. Sane - September 18, 2016 at 5:49 pm #

Nice a MHA section. Imma be here until i come back to One Piece.

It makes sense that the U.A students passed the exam since they are supposed to be a top class school and whatnot. But i still hold the opinion that Iida and maybe one more are the only ones that will get the hero license. Dunno just gut feeling.

Also i believe the traitor is Ojiro. Who do you guys think is the traitor?

    • Fleet Admiral Akainu - September 19, 2016 at 10:24 am #

      Tokoyami coz he represents darkness..

      • LogicoftheVI - September 19, 2016 at 5:13 pm #

Nah Tokoyami is definitely a hero. The darkness thing doesn’t really scream villain to me especially when you consider his personality.

    • LogicoftheVI - September 19, 2016 at 5:13 pm #

@sane I also believe that the traitor is Ojiro. IDK why but it just seems to make sense that it would be him. He is unassuming and he is actually one of the stronger U.A. first years. He seems like a good guy so it would be a cool twist if it turned out to be him.

      • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:33 pm #

Yes, definitely a good plot twist.

      • Leptor - September 19, 2016 at 8:33 pm #

Hm, I’m not sure that Ojirou stands out to me as being one of the most powerful students in U.A. There are several that are arguably weaker than him but I would suggest that more than half the students that we’ve seen so far are more powerful than Ojirou.

However, if Ojirou is the traitor (he’s actually one of my top options as well), it’s possible that he’s simply not showing his full power.

    • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:32 pm #

Well, this is quite possible. The moment he gave up in the Schools Festival arc was when turned suspicous for me.

  14. Kouhei - September 19, 2016 at 5:43 pm #

About the seniors on U.A., we have to consider that if they already have their hero licenses, this probably means that they are not students anymore. On this arc, 1-A will get their Provisional Licenses. If there’s a 2-A or 3-A, they mostly already have their Provisional Licenses and are still studying to get their definitive licenses. But intrigues me the reason why they were not even mentioned on U.A. soprts festival.

  15. Kouhei - September 19, 2016 at 5:44 pm #

So, this is actually something I’ve never thought about. The manga name is My Hero Academia. And after graduation, do you think the manga will enter on another sequel like Naruto Shippuden or DBZ were the character we know will be older?

    • Aizen - September 19, 2016 at 7:36 pm #

This is definitely possible. I can’t see Deku becoming the greatest hero of all time while graduating.

    • Leptor - September 19, 2016 at 8:31 pm #

It would be somewhat underwhelming if Boku No Hero Academia doesn’t include their Hero Careers.

  16. LogicoftheVI - September 20, 2016 at 2:56 pm #

What kind of quirks are you expecting from the new characters shown last chapter? Who are they anyway and do they have quirk mastery?

    • LogicoftheVI - September 22, 2016 at 1:49 pm #

Pretty good chapter I really liked the focus on the other students (a request from last week) though I still didn’t get to see Tokoyami in action. So the new characters from the cliffhanger are there to be rescued it makes sense given their range of ages. It never crossed my mind that they may have to rescue people (which is silly since that is what being a hero is all about).

I think part o the reason U.A. was able to survive (and is able to survive) is because the other schools are too focused on trying to eliminate U.A. Splitting them up didn’t work to the other schools advantage and ass the test wore on some of them decided to backstab one another since they couldn’t get any of the U.A. Students out. It’s a mix of their abilities and the other schools targeting of them that allowed all the U.A. Students to pass imo.

Pretty nice chapter overall and good development for the Navel Laser guy.

      • Leptor - September 23, 2016 at 12:03 am #

Initially I thought that it might be an Exam based around rescuing citizens, but after the mysterious way in which the citizens were introduced, I thought that maybe they were going to do something else. It was a little underwhelming when it turned out they were just doing the simple Exam that I initially figured. However, as you said, it makes sense that the second round would have that type of Exam for The Hero Exam.

I’m not entirely sold on Aoyama’s back story. Not that I don’t believe it, just that it didn’t really add up to me. I understand that he wants to be equal to others, and that’s great, but how has he really been accomplishing that by being silly in all of his appearances so far? I do like that he contributed a lot to all of U.A’s students passing the first round of The Hero Exam, though.

        • LogicoftheVI - September 30, 2016 at 5:18 pm #

I think a big part of Aoyama’s character development moving forward will revolve around giving himself more credit. He has seemed to be the class clown but he is the first seat in class.

  17. Pirate King - September 22, 2016 at 9:38 am #

I know it! Aoyama’s time to SHINE finally!!!

  18. Great General Ri Shin - September 23, 2016 at 1:19 am #

Can’t wait until we get an Animal Morphing Quirk. :3

    • LogicoftheVI - September 30, 2016 at 4:24 pm #

That would be pretty cool kind of like a hybrid zoan or just seeing them morph?

  19. LogicoftheVI - September 30, 2016 at 4:24 pm #

am really liking the look we are getting at the students from Shiketsu High. That comedic scene with Deku was hilarious and would have been a little funnier if Ochako had overheard them and reacted to it. The hairy guys is just that for now I hope we get to see some of him and how his quirk works. I would like to believe that his hairiness has to do with is quirk but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s unrelated. I also like that now that the fight is over some of the Shiketsu High students want to form a relationship with U.A. Inasa hating Endevour and Shouto by extension is a pretty interesting development, I think many of us have been wantig a showdown with these two and this revelation adds more intrigue to it for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if Inasa turns into the anti-hero we though Bakugou was going to be.

The one thing I can say I didn’t like about this chapter is how Deku handle the start of the rescue operation. He already has real world experience from when he saved Kouta and him overthinking things was kind of dumb. He was quirkless so he paid attention to all the minuet details of hero work now that he has his quirk it seems all that has fallen by the wayside. It should have been Ochako who messed up with Deku remember how All Might saves people to help Ochako out. This would also go a long way to their shipping imo. That is my biggest issue (I know it’s a little one) with the manga so far. Deku should be so much more now because of who he used to be in the past.

    Overall a very enjoyable chapter
