Shokugeki no Soma 203 Spoiler Summaries

Source: 2ch
Translated by MNS MangaNetabareSpoiler

Senzaemon: Now both teams will taste each other’s dish and this will signal the end of this fight!

Senzaemon then tells the students to point to the dish that was superior. Soma and Erina point at Team Dojima’s dish and Takumi and Megumi point at Team Saiba’s dish.

The crowd is slightly panicking as the “God’s Tongue” is pointing at the opponent’s dish. Erina says that the taste, the smell, and the visual impression of Team Dojima’s is in extreme high quality. In contrast, their dish isn’t on the level, and she regrets that they didn’t have enough time to taste their own dish beforehand.

But Takumi doesn’t agree with Erina’s words. He then goes on to describe Team Saiba’s Hachis Parmentier

Soma realized Jouichiro’s intent to wrap up potato into the Crepe Dough, so Soma used cheese, potato and Chirimen Jako to make a “Pomme Galette” and wrap that into the crepe. Which brought both “softness” and “crispiness” that one would usually not be able to taste in a Hachis Parmentier. Additionally, Erina’s steak cooked with Bordeaux wine were sliced into the shape of a dice and then wrapped up into the crepe.

Erina then explains that it was a thought process she never had but Soma, Megumi, and Takumi praise Erina for showing a lot of joy while cooking, which makes Erina blush. Senzaemon has a big smile on his face.

Sezaemon: In order to have perfect teamwork in the Regiment De Cuisine, it is hugely important to realize the strength each team member has. The numerous challenges one needed to overcome to reach this stage…And you all were able to once again reaffirm this now…Looks like our first objective has been achieved with this fight!

Senzaemon: It was a very interesting dish Erina! You looked like you had a lot of fun!

Erina: (You as well, Grandpa!?) It’s just that the two provoked me into this. Usually, I would never do such a thing…

Senzaemon: Yes…That’s how the both of them always interacted with each other. It must be a part of their life to fight like that. That’s why in this fight, he (Soma) was able to present his dish to Jouichiro without any fear!

Erina: …But how can someone do that to their parent….I would think that such act would cause trouble, and I would refrain from acting like a spoilt child…

Senzaemon: Why don’t you act like a spoilt child for once?!

Erina: …Grandpa?

Senzaemon: You two are father and child…You also have to learn to act occasionally like a self-centered child, Erina.

Senzaemon’s words make Erina think

Next Day: Azami, Tsukasa, and Rindou gather at the meeting place.

End

    Fuh my 203 prediction
The judges will be the conductor, Grandpa Nakiri and the waiters
-They eat Jou’s dish first and Grandpa Nakiri does his explaining
-Next they ate Gin’s dish and do their explaining of the dish.
-After a hard time debating between themselves
    -The winner is Team Gin
-Grandpa Nakiri explain because they had better teamwork, know what Gin wanted and it wasn’t random put together.
-Team Gin celebrating while Team Yukihira are sulking, mostly Jou & Soma. Erina is neutral. :3

    • Great General Ri Shin - February 17, 2017 at 8:37 pm #

      Wrong x 7

  2. Great General Ri Shin - February 15, 2017 at 3:03 pm #

Soo it was a non contest.. Oh well.
I still believe Team Gin won, because Soma & Erina choose the opposing dish and stated they didn’t have enough time, and they didn’t try it. So basically they are accepting that they lost.

Takumi you’re full of crap. Kappa
    Meanwhile Megumi is irrelevant

    • LogicoftheVI - February 17, 2017 at 3:32 pm #

For me Team Gin should have wont. Erina and Souma are better chef’s in their own right but this was a team battle. The fact that Souma and Erina got off to such a poor start should have had an effect on the outcome. The fact that Takumi and Megumi couldn’t defeat Souma and Erina when they had the advantage speaks volumes to how much they need to grow still. I hope Grandpa Nakiri’s training will feel like enough because after the events of this chapter I can say that Team Jou should get rekt by the E-10. Megumi and Takumi have a way to go if they are going to be able to help bring home a believable victory.

      • Great General Ri Shin - February 17, 2017 at 8:49 pm #

        Yeah..
Which make me wonder.. Why did the author add them? Alice & Ryu would had made such a better pair IMO but they got taken out so quickly with no explanation… While Takumi & Megumi got off easily because of Rindo’s carefree attitude..

Erina & Alice will have this intense rivalry, same with Ryo & Soma.

        • Hi Shin Unit - February 18, 2017 at 12:09 pm #

It makes sense why Takumi and Megumi were not expelled and are the ones facing the e-10. Takumi, based on the recent chapters, is Somas true rival and Megumi has been someone the mangaka has put a lot of focus on since day one.

      • Hi Shin Unit - February 18, 2017 at 12:11 pm #

The mangaka, imo, copped out, once again. Team Gin should have won based on what we were shown…

        • Tomodachi - February 18, 2017 at 2:08 pm #

Hayama’s chapters did really badly (literally Bleach level) in the rankings. So I can kinda see why he needs to pander to fans as much as possible.

        • Hi Shin Unit - February 18, 2017 at 2:35 pm #

He’s been copping out since before the Hayama arc.

  3. LogicoftheVI - February 17, 2017 at 3:30 pm #

Shokugeki no Soma chapter 203 Prediction:
-The Judges try each dish (not going to guess which order)
-They discuss each dish and how each chef changed the receipt to make something interesting and unique.
-The Students skills and knowledge is discussed and each of the 4 chime in on what they did
-The judges debate and come to a decisions
    -Winner is team Gin
-Grandpa Nakiri, Gin, and Jou tell the younger generation this is the first step towards being prepared for the Régiment De Cuisine
-On to the next challenge in their training

So this didn’t turn out all that well.
    -Correct….lol
    -Wrong
    -Wrong
    -Partially Correct
    -Wrong
-Partially Correct, this was just Grandpa Nakiri

    • Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 4:26 pm #

Tsukasa fuckin’ hype! Also Somei’s scene with Momo was good as well. Enjoyed this chapter.

      • LogicoftheVI - February 23, 2017 at 4:30 pm #

I enjoyed the chapter but it seems like they are going to have to go up against the E-4 and that is just not really possible for them at this point. I don’t care what kind of training they get. The fact that it’s a team battle will probably work against the current E-10 showing that Souma and his group are superior or some bullshit like that but realistically as much as I enjoyed this chapter the setup for this battle is horrible imo.

        • Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 4:50 pm #

He (The author) is probably going to say that the rebels have more synergy and therefore, as a team, are better than the Elites who probably have zero coordination. I believe someone said this earlier but that criticism is for another time lol

        • Great General Ri Shin - February 23, 2017 at 4:55 pm #

The rebels will probably have the previous 3rd seat, Satoshi & Kuga supporting them.

I know.. Eishi, Rindo, Momo & Saito are just way too powerful but they have a month to train. So if Gin & Jou teach them well.. They may stand a chance.
If Senzaemon helps.. [I think he the best chef in the world] They will be ready.

Seeing how the staigire arc was 4 weeks.. Soma, Takumi, Erina, and Megumi will evolve even further.

        • Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 5:01 pm #

The four people you mentioned are just out of the rebels’ league. But the rebels have some big names training them. Previous generations’ first seats, second seats etc. Gin and Joe. And of course old people are usually the biggest badasses in such series.

        • Great General Ri Shin - February 23, 2017 at 5:06 pm #

Senzaemon is known as the Food demon king, so he is the biggest badass in the series.

And his name is literary Sensei-mon
He is born to be a great teacher. lolz

  7. Great General Ri Shin - February 23, 2017 at 4:24 pm #

    Fuh chapter 204 prediction

Azami calls in Jou to have the meeting, this is where he tell it will be a 4 vs 4.
The chosen people are Nene, Eizan, the two new E10 members.
We are revealed the sexes and names of the two new E10 members. They are 2nd year students
Soma & Takumi are eager to face them in a shokugeki right now. While Megumi is nervous.. Erian is also nervous because Azami is there.

    The meeting is over
The start of the 2nd part of the training begins.

Wrong: It more like the 6 elite seats vs the rebels.
    Wrong..
Wrong: Where are the 2 new E10 members? o.o
Partial right: Soma & Takumi are eager. Erina is not nervous but she finally ready to reclaim her throne as queen.
    Correct, the meeting is over.
Partial correct, their will be training in the next chapter because they have a month to prepare themselves.

  8. Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 4:24 pm #

LMFAO Two people voted for Isobe Isobee and Tite Kubo as their favourite character in SnS’ popularity poll. This is legit the funniest shit in this chapter X’D

    • Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 4:30 pm #

“We even got votes for these” section is also pretty damn funny. These guys honestly have too much time on their hands. The meat that got stepped on in Ch. 1 also got votes LOL

  9. Great General Ri Shin - February 23, 2017 at 4:48 pm #

Azami arriving in style by skiing down the mountain. Gotta make a grand entrance somehow, while Rindo rides a snow sled and Eishi on a snowboard.
Interesting that Joichiro is not a fan of the cold.

Behold another face added fuh Eizan: the man of many faces.

Senzaemon: will take all of the elite ten seats.
OMG, this is it.. We will have Erina, Soma, Takumi, even Megumi as new E10 members.

Azami: Also let not make any special limits on how many can participate.
That will be your downfall Azami, Kuga, Satoshi, previous 3rd seat should make their debut in this regimental shokugeki! Maybe have Subaru & Neo join them and that China girl to.

Man.. Saito is so touchy with Momo’s stuff…I see where the author is heading with this.
    Also with Nene & Eizan

    Main event
Erina finally stand up to Azami! Wow.. She the youngest to make it in the E10 members but question on how? Author didn’t explain.. Pft
The Queen is back and ready to claim her throne! Side Note.. Soma notices that she reverting back to her Queenly nature.

Also where the new E10 members? Hopefully the author didn’t forget them.

    • Tomodachi - February 23, 2017 at 5:06 pm #

“She the youngest to make it in the E10 members but question on how?”

Because she’s the God tongue duh What’s there to explain? She was one the most famous chefs/personalities in the gourmet world. Senzaemon said he’s gonna make her 10th seat and asked if the 10th seat would like to challenge her but knowing her reputation, the previous 10th seat just resigned. Seems like a valid explanation :p

      • Great General Ri Shin - February 23, 2017 at 5:09 pm #

Poor previous tenth seat.. Didn’t stand a chance..

The privilege of having a grand bloodline and have the tongue of a god…

We got the reveal of the previous 4th seat and Jou had the nervous breakdown.Something that show that Souma is not like his father at all.

Source please.. I want to see whats rank 1st.

Shokugeki no Soma chapter 205 Prediction:
Chapter picks up where things left off and we get Azami’s reactions to Erina relinquishing her E-10 seat
We also obviously get reactions from everyone else as well
With Erina’s proclamation the stakes have been set and the talks are concluded
Back on the train they discuss who the other member of the team will be since they can have any number of participants
The second step of the training is revealed another round of team battles with a twist
Epic panel of the former 3 E-10 members entering. (woudlnt be surprised if Mimasaka is shown here as well).
Souma/Megumi/Takumi/Erina vs. Satoshi/Kuga/Megishima. (/Mimasaka if he is shown)

You guys hyped for Dr. Stone this week? I know I am lol

    • LogicoftheVI - March 1, 2017 at 5:40 pm #

Sounds interesting and it sounds like the most interesting of the next 6 they launching this year. Hungry Marie wasn’t anything special and could go the way of Red Sprite or Demon Plan for all I care after reading the first chapter.

      • Tomodachi - March 1, 2017 at 5:44 pm #

I didn’t bother reading We never learn or whatever that first series was. U19 art sucked so I just skimmed through the chapters. I read both Poro chapters and I’m not a huge fan. Haven’t read Hungry Marie, how’s it?

        • LogicoftheVI - March 1, 2017 at 6:09 pm #

It was….interesting for lack of a better word. The girl next door type story but with a twist. He lives in a temple she lives in a catholic style Church. He has always loved the girl next door since young but was never able to talk to her (awkward), it’s almost to the point where he is invisible to her. He witnesses her trying to summon a Princess from past generations her family serves. He swears he didn’t see anything she calls him a liar, it’s a family secret so she threatens him in an alley but since he loves her he took it the wrong way and he decides to become her accomplice. She ties him up and brings him home and brings him to the church so he can be a sacrifice for their resurrection of Maria (they replaced a chicken leg that was to be the sacrifice with the MC). Her father says they will begin at Midnight and leaves the MC in his daughters care. After he confesses his love lightning strikes the house. It appears the MC is dead but he has actually been turned into the resurrected Marie.

Not sure where this series is going?

      The future King & Queen!

Dammit..Yuto is still hiding the identity of Souma’s mother.. -_-

    • LogicoftheVI - March 1, 2017 at 5:56 pm #

I am so disappointed if this is really the chapter we are about to get.

      • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 6:03 pm #

The chapter seem really short too. :/

        • LogicoftheVI - March 1, 2017 at 6:15 pm #

The chapter does seem short but I am more concerned with the training being cut short. Like I get it they took the rest of the test but really like. Why were the other E-10 introduced at the beginning of the arc if Kuga was the only one who was going to have any relevance to this point? I don’t want to know the entire strategy but I haven’t seen anything from Souma, Takumi, Megumi, and Erina that says they can stand against the current E-10. I surely haven’t seen anything that suggest that Kuga, Megashima, and Isshiki will be joining the team which will be needed if they are going to have a believable chance at beating the current E-10. Takumi and Megumi’s tie with Erina and Souma looks even worse to me now knowing that is all training we are going to see. How the Fuck are Takumi and Megumi supposed to be more valuable than Ryo and Alice? I am calling bullshit right now. I have let things slide with this manga for long enough.

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 6:41 pm #

We could see the training in the next several chapters, they have a month and their no indication that the training will be cut short.0_o

We know that Satoshi is planning something and his plan will hopefully be shown later on in the arc. He the one that been making some few phone calls early on in arc.

Erina was very hesitate on what to do in the training but since she is on full Queen mode. I could see make a dish extremely well that could be on par with Eishi or Rindo. Sine we have tons of Erina hype from last chapter.

Again, they will have a month to train, this is like their timeskip and we know how the stagirie improve them. Two weeks with kojiro evolve Souma to become a better chef, A month will elvove Souma to become even better. The training should be cover in the next several chapters.

I really inching my head why Takumi & Megumi are with them but Real Hi Shin Unit said Yuto is building Takumi as Souma’s real rival and he always giving focus on Megumi from day 1. But I just don’t see it, Ryo would had made a better rival for Souma. Megumi is really irrelevant.. shes weak sauce and I don’t see her defeating an E10 unless its the new E10 members. Who knows.. maybe Takumi & Megumi will face the new E10 while Souma, Erina will challenge the middles E10s while Satoshi, Kuga and 3rd seat fight the tops.

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 1, 2017 at 7:02 pm #

@Onyx: I agree Ryo and Hayama would make better rivals, but at the end of the day Takumi is being built-up as Soma’s true rival. It is the reason why he is here and neither Ryo nor Hayama are.

As for Megumi, you can call her irrelevant all you want, it doesn’t chnage the amount focus that has been placed on her since she was first introduced. After Erina, she is the most important female in the series and it’s the reason why she is here and not Alice. Before Azami was introduced, it could easily have been argued that Megumi was more important than Erina due the focus she was given over Erina.

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 7:26 pm #

          @Hi shin
A true rival that is destine to fall short every single time. Takumi has nothing that points that he is equal or better at Souma at something. So I really don’t like that.. :/

Fuh Megumi, sure she has focus on her character but the rebels need better chefs than her. Their expulsion depends on it and like Logic said, we have not seen anything from Megumi that we can say that she will be E10 ready. Our only hope is the one month training but I still don’t see it being good enough for her to challenge the middle E10s. Only the new E10 members but we have yet to see them.

For example.. the training part. We didn’t even get a flashback on how she grew in the stagirie arc like Takumi. She was just full on support and that disappointing imo. When we saw her in the stagire arc with Erina…She was on dish duty, the lowest job in the restaurant. Sure, she did a good deed by minimizing how the customer use their sauce because the customer were putting too much, therefore losing money. However that never help her improve on her cooking, we never saw how she improve in the stagire arc if I recall.

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 1, 2017 at 10:29 pm #

The term rival (as a noun) does not mean that an individual is equal/inferior/superior to you. A rival is a person who competes with you for the same objective or for superiority in same the field. That means anyone competing for the pinnacle of Tootsuki is Soma’s rival…

Recent developments prove Takumi is Soma’s true rival. He may not be as big a challenge to Soma as Hayama or Ryo, but he very well can be in the future. Soma having Takumi’s mezzaluna suggests exactly that.

I’m not denying that Megumi is not the right person for the job. I agree with both you and @Logic. However, her being there makes more sense than Alice or anyone else, for that matter. She is after Erina and Soma the most important character proven by the amount of focus that has been put on her. There is no denying the facts.

I want Kurokiba and Alice to be there instead of Takumi and Megumi. Jou’s team need Kurokiba and Alice to be there instead of Takumi and Megumi, but they are not there and the reasons are clear why. The problem is Takumi and Megumi are not strong enough to be there over Kurokiba and Alice and the author is to blame for that, PERIOD!

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 11:14 pm #

          @Logic..
Look like I was wrong, it does seem that Yuto skip the month of training… I read the spoiler so fast on my phone, and I thought the chapter ended at Flashback over.

But it had “Dojima thanks Soma for rescuing Joucihiro from the Storm.
Soma and co clear the rest of the trials and arrive at Rebun Island.”

So you’re right.. However, this is very weak of the author but he could probably put things that the rebels learn from the month of training in small flashbacks…

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 1, 2017 at 11:40 pm #

It really doesn’t matter if shows the one month training or not. How can they beat the best chefs in Tootsuki after one month of training? That is pure bs, through-and-through.

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 2, 2017 at 2:05 am #

Hopefully Satoshi, 3rd seat and kuga show up.

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 2, 2017 at 2:58 am #

Satoshi, Kuga and Megishima still being Tootsuki students makes no sense. They oppose Central so why hasn’t Azami kicked them out?

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 2, 2017 at 3:27 am #

I don’t think he can because they did nothing wrong.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 9:02 am #

“They oppose Central so why hasn’t Azami kicked them out?”

Kicking them out is a sign of weakness. Azami wants to show his strength and he is planning to do that through this Regimental Shokugeki.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 9:10 am #

This training is important and it’s obvious (imo) that it won’t be skipped. The author is going to put the characters in a pinch and then we’re going to get a flashback of the training after which the MC realises something critical and pulls through at the last moment.

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 2, 2017 at 1:10 pm #

@Onyx: They are opposition to Central just like Soma & co. That’s his reason…

@Tomo: My problem is that like Soma & co, Satoshi, Megishima and Kuga are in opposition to Central, so why has there been no indication of Azami attempting to expel them? He doesn’t have to outright expel them but he can try and get rid of them in a similar manner to Soma & co, but we’ve seen no indication of this. They seem to be moving very freely despite opposing Central.

Btw, the methods used by Central to expel Soma & co during the first two promotion exams does not portray Central as strong. They come across as cowards. Simply expelling them is better than what Central attempted.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 1:27 pm #

“why has there been no indication of Azami attempting to expel them?”

Lol probably because they’re important for certain events now.

“the methods used by Central to expel Soma & co during the first two promotion exams does not portray Central as strong.”

We know that and some of the rebels know that but not the rest of the Totsuki fraternity. So it probably looks like they’ve been crushed when in reality Central pulled some shady shit. But why didn’t they do the same to Satoshi and the rest? Don’t ask me lol Central hasn’t been the best arc in terms of logic.

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 2, 2017 at 6:19 pm #

Not necessary, they are quietly opposing Central but haven’t made a direct confrontation against Central like Souma when he refuse to give up PSD to central.

The only thing they did is resign and Satoshi quickly made a rule that even Azami has to follow.

I would like to add.. Central didn’t ask the teacher to give a disadvantage to the rebels. The teacher did that on their own. Rindo explain it in chapter 179

          @Hi Shin

    • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 9:03 am #

This is why the series is slipping in rankings I guess.

  16. Hi Shin Unit - March 1, 2017 at 6:54 pm #

SnS has really dropped in quality. It has been on a downward spiral since Azami was made Dean…

    • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 7:29 pm #

Even I don’t like it.. but I agree. Too many crops out and things unexplained like how did Alice & Ryo get defeated? And leaving loopholes to get weaker chefs not expel due to them being more important. Which is Bullshit. -_-

      • Hi Shin Unit - March 1, 2017 at 10:31 pm #

“And leaving loopholes to get weaker chefs not expel due to them being more important.”

You hit the nail on the head! Alice and Kurokiba should be there, if they are to win. There has been nothing shown that either Megumi nor Takumi are strong enough to defeat a single member of the E-10. But knowing the author I expect some bs victory for them and a bs reason as to why.

        • Great General Ri Shin - March 1, 2017 at 11:19 pm #

INB4 flashbacks of the training but still a BS win if Megumi & Takumi are able to defeat an mid E10 seat member. I only see them beating the new E10 members and that it. Hopefully the R.Shokugeki won’t be a one sided win in favor of the rebels because that will be really disappointing.

        • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 3:53 pm #

The thing with The Regiment de Cuisine is that it is a team battle. This means that the cohesion the 92nd generation has will come into play. This is where the Friendship part of the series will start to show through. Remember that we just had Erina basically say she would take the first seat. I find this one hard to swallow as she has shown nothing in the way of being superior to the other E-10 members. But again this is going to come down to a team battle as opposed to 1v1 which will play in the Main Groups favor.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 4:07 pm #

“team battle as opposed to 1v1 which will play in the Main Groups favor.”

          Spot on.

      • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 9:00 am #

Damn right! Megumi survived only because she’s one of the main side characters.

        • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 3:53 pm #

I would have felt much better about this had Megumi and Takumi won against Souma and Erina in the team battle.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 4:06 pm #

But as Senzaemon said, it was necessary for each team to identify the strengths of the other which was why there couldn’t have been any other way than what the author chose. Moreover if Team Gin would’ve won, I would’ve attributed it to Gin and Team Joe’s lack of teamwork rather than to Takumi and Megumi tbh

        • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 4:34 pm #

The teamwork aspect of Takumi and Megumi is what I felt should have been played up with their victory over Souma and Erina. They could have still identified the strengths and weaknesses of one another while making it feel like Takumi and Megumi really brought something to the table through their teamwork. This is something they could have taught Souma and Erina who are both really good on their own. I feel like it would have made Takumi and Megumi feel more on par with Souma and Erina since they would have the teamwork part down while Erina and Souma are the better overall chefs. It would have struck a really nice balance imo. Takumi and Megumi cannot beat the current E-10 but the teamwork of the 92nd generation will be far and above the broken Central that Azami has created.

Vanessa’s power is broken holy shit. That is Yhwach’s Schutzstaffel level of hax.

    • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 3:50 pm #

I wonder how the author will handicap her in future arcs considering she can fucking rewrite fate now!?

      • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 4:03 pm #

Exactly. That’s retardedly powerful. It’s probably gonna be another Katen Kyokotsu type handicap as in the cat only helps Vanessa when it wants to and that would be when the plot requires it lol But yeah this is literally Almighty Soul King Yhwach’s power. Rewriting the future aka fate aka destiny.

Not very impressed with Dr. Stone. I was the most hyped for Dr. Stone and least hyped for Hungry Marie but I’m loving Hungry Marie and not Dr. Stone. Also, this section is goddamn amazing compared to the OP section which perpetually has a vitriolic atmosphere.

    • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 4:36 pm #

I need to read the second chapter what did you think of the first one? How was my summary of the first chapter compared to what you read?

      • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 5:12 pm #

Yeah your review was on point. I’d like to know what you think. I haven’t read many series similar to HM. Maybe that’s why I’m liking it lol

The first was… good? Again for lack of a better word. It doesn’t have a depressing setting like people getting petrified or adults being despots or whatever. It’s so damn chilled out man. Like random characters show up and this Taiga dude’s like “This manga is not about them” Lmao!

  19. LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 4:36 pm #

@Tomodahci first chapter of Dr. Stone is out! Much better than Hungry Marie though it’s not as hyped a first chapter as I would have hoped for.

    • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 4:37 pm #

After reading the second chapter of Hungry Marie. It seems like a fun series to me. I voted for it to be featured in WSJ weekly lol

      • LogicoftheVI - March 2, 2017 at 4:41 pm #

I will read the second chapter shortly.

Premise wise I like Dr. Stone better.
Character wise I think it’s about a push with Marie taking a slight lead.
Entertainment of the chapter I think Marie was slightly more entertaining now that I am being more critical of the two.
Chapter ending Marie was better with a bigger more unexpected twist.

        • Tomodachi - March 2, 2017 at 5:08 pm #

Character wise also I like Hungry Marie since both the guys in Dr. Stone seem very unidimensional and stuck up. HM stays casual and that makes it better imo.

Entertainment definitely Hungry Marie. Some parts of it were pretty damn funny lol I’m definitely more interested in Hungry Marie because it’s so chilled out.

    • Hi Shin Unit - March 2, 2017 at 9:51 pm #

If you liked Hungry Marie, you should give Beelzebub a go. It’s made by the same mangaka.

      • LogicoftheVI - March 3, 2017 at 4:25 pm #

I’ve actually heard really good things about Beelzebub. Do you know if the anime does the series justice or just go with the manga?

        • Hi Shin Unit - March 4, 2017 at 2:40 am #

I far as I can remember the anime was a good adaptation of the manga.
